Chapter 1331 Mommy Is Home
Chapter 1331 Mommy Is Home
Gavin quickly ran over, stopping in front of Arissa. “Mommy, when did you come back? Why didn't you tell us?”
Seeing her son's happy little face, Arissa also felt an indescribable joy in her heart. A gentle smile played at the corners of her mouth, her eyes filled with affection. “I kept it a secret because I wanted to surprise you!”
“Hehe! I like the surprise, Mommy! Are you feeling better now?” Gavin asked with a beaming smile, his eyes not blinking as he looked at her.
“I feel okay, but staying in the hospital is not as comfortable as being at home!” Arissa explained, patting her son's little head.
Gavin suddenly realized something. “Oh! no wonder Mr. Bailey said he wanted to stay at our house. It's because he's here to treat Mommy!”
Arissa smiled, knowing without a doubt that Shaun had found a reason to keep the children in the dark deliberately.
Seeing the pastry in Gavin's hand, she took a piece and brought it to Gavin's mouth. Gavin happily took a bite.
“Just now, Mr. Whitley asked us to deliver some snacks. Jesse and the others didn't want to come. They preferred to help in the kitchen. I didn't expect the distinguished guest to be Mommy!”
The thought of being the first one to see Arissa made Gavin even happier at heart. Mr. Whitley was still
fooling us about some esteemed guest when it was clearly just mommy.
“They want to surprise you!” Arissa smiled, pulling the little one to sit next to her on the chair. She served some snacks on the stone table.
Gavin also chuckled, nodding his head. “Mommy, you start eating. I'll go tell the others!”
“Okay!” Arissa also wanted to see the children, nodding with a smile.
Gavin was overjoyed. He ran toward the house, circled around to the window by the kitchen, and called out to his siblings.
“Tim, Zachary, Oliver, Jasper, Jesse, come out quickly! Mommy is back.”
Upon hearing that, the five little ones in the kitchen immediately dropped what they were holding and ran outside.
“Mommy's back!”
The five little ones were overjoyed, and one after another, they ran out of the main entrance.
“Where is she?” They thought Arissa had just returned home, but they didn't see anyone at the door, so they looked around.
“Gavin is calling us over there. Could that guest be Mommy?”
Zachary guessed correctly, and he took off running toward the garden. Tim, Oliver, and Jasper quickly followed suit.
Jesse, who couldn't run as fast, saw her brothers had already run several meters ahead and called out anxiously. “Wait for me!”
“Mommy!”
“Mommy!”
“Ah! It's Mommy!”
“It's really Mommy!”
“Mommy!”
Upon spotting Arissa, the five little ones ran even faster, their excitement so palpable they wished they could reach her immediately.
Arissa watched the little ones with a smile. “Slow down! Slow down!” From NôvelDrama.Org.
“Mommy!”
The little ones ran up to her, wanting to throw themselves into her arms, but remembering that Arissa was carrying their younger siblings, they dared not to.
“Mommy, when did you come back?”
“Mommy, are you feeling better now?”
Just like Gavin, the other five also had questions. Arissa, with a smile, patiently answered each of the children's queries.
She gestured for them to go a bit closer, her arms encircling all five of them. “Let me hug you guys!”
The five little ones leaned against her, inhaling the familiar scent of Arissa, feeling both joyful and blessed.
Jesse looked up at Arissa, asking in a soft and gentle voice, “Mommy! Did you have Mr. Bailey and the others keep it a secret from us? Mr. Bailey picked us up from school and didn't even tell us you were home. He even made us believe you were still in the hospital!”
Arissa affectionately brushed the tip of Jesse's nose. “It wasn't my idea! They wanted to surprise you!”
The little ones chuckled and gathered around her, sitting by her side. Yet, Jasper was circling her rocking chair, observing it. “Mommy, when did you buy this chair?”
“It must have been around noon!” She mentioned it to Benjamin, who then instructed Edwin to make the purchase.
“Fun, isn't it?” Oliver's eyes sparkled as he stared at the rocking chair.
