Chapter 101: Contact Number
Chapter 101: Contact Number Jasmine's POV
We have already completed the wedding preparations, and tomorrow will be their wedding. I am waiting for our client in the restaurant. I was busy on my phone when someone sat on the other chair.
"You are Ms. Stewart?" A masculine voice echoed in my ears. When I looked at who it was I hesitated for the meantime. He looks familiar. "Nathan? Is that you?" He looks like my childhood friend. He chuckled and stood up.
"I thought you didn't recognize me. Common, give me a welcome hug," he said, which I did. He laughed while seeing my shocked expression.
"I missed you, little Jasmine." He messed up my hair, which made me pout. He really is Nathan. He kept on doing that when we were still kids.
Nathan is our childhood friend. Travis and him were good friends before. Actually, I enjoy being with him. The three of us were playing together. Sometimes Travis and Nathan are fighting because of small things and I would be their referee.
"When did you come back? It's been years since we last saw each other." I told him while we were both sitting on our chairs.
"I've launched my new business here. Mom and Dad want me to stay here for the meantime," he said. I haven't heard from him since he went abroad; all I know is that he is a successful businessman now.
"Really? That's good news. How are you by the way?" I asked him while he was calling the waitress.
"I'm great. The first thing I did when I came back here was really to find you. There, I contacted your assistant to meet you for a business meeting, but the truth is I really wanted to see you and talk to you." He chuckled. Why didn't he just contact me on my account? I laughed at him.
He started ordering too much food.
"Really? Well, I'm glad I met you again. I thought you would be staying abroad forever," I chuckled. But he just stared at me, smiling.
"Nah, that's not going to happen. I came here to do another business." He said. While he sounds different on that part.
"By the way, how's life? I bet you're Married now" I chuckled, but he shook his head, which made me stop laughing.
"I'm not. I'm actually here for you" he smiled.I laughed. He really never changed. He's still the Joker Nathan I was playing with before.
"You really never change. "The waitress started to place the food Nathan ordered.
We both started eating because I was also hungry.
"You have something on your lips' ' he chuckled. I was about to get a tissue to wipe it when he suddenly wiped it using his thumb and he actually tasted the food.
"Sweet." He uttered. I glared at him but he just shrugged his shoulders laughing.
"I heard that you and Travis were divorced" I stopped eating when I heard him say that. I wasn't expecting that he would also know that. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
Which means that he knew Travis And I got married.
"You knew? How?" I asked him while he was pouring juice into my glass.
"Of course. Let's just say that someone told it to me. I'm glad you are no longer with him." He said he was happy about it. I just shook my head because of him being crazy.
"Maybe the pleasure is mine. After what happened. I really couldn't take it any longer. Well, it's been years since we were divorced, and I don't want to talk about it." I told her while he was staring at me.
He really changed a lot. He became masculine he became even more manly.
"I told you. He's not a good guy. If you just chose me before then maybe you didn't experience things that you had experienced before." He told me. I sigh. I just didn't want to talk about us right now.
"How are your parents? It's been a
year since last saw them. Please tell Mr and Mrs Forth that I missed them," I told him. Nathan's parents are kind, and I had a good
ver
relationship with them before rather than Travis's parents.
I remember when Nathan brought me to their house. They thought I was his girlfriend before they were happy hugging me and even asked me to stay for the night. I told Nathan to tell them the truth, but he just laughed. That's why they thought Nathan and I were in a relationship. But they soon found
out that we really are not.
"They were good. Mom even asked me to tell you if you could visit them in the house," he said, which made me smile.
Nathan's mom is really kind; she's a joker, too. Nathan is their only son, and whenever I visit them before, they are happy that he brings a girl.
"I wanted to see them also, especially Mrs. Forth. I really missed how she joked with me." I chuckled. I drank the water when I finished eating.
"Maybe when you have free time? I'll tell Mom about it. I heard that you are working as a wedding planner" he said, which made me nod. "Yes, I'm currently handling one right now but we already finished it. Tomorrow will be their wedding." I told him. He just nodded at me. There is also a dress code which we need to follow.
"That's great. We should see each other again after this," he said while wiping his lips.
"Of course. We will. I'm happy to meet you again." I told him and called the waitress. I was about to pay the bill, but he already swiped his card.
"I won't let a girl pay the bills," she told me.
We both walked out of the restaurant.
"Wait, I want to give you something." He didn't wait for my response, and he ran through his car. When he came back, he was holding a lot of paper bags.
"Here, this is all for you," he said as he opened the door of my car and put the items inside.
"Thank you. "After that, we bid goodbye and exchanged our contact numbers.
