Vengeful Hearts Return Novel by Susan Clyde

Chapter 162

After the group had been inside for a while, the servant of the Callahan family rushed out again.

“Mr. Callahan. Miss Simpson has stabilized madam’s condition. She said you don’t need to look for a miracle doctor and she can cure madam’s illness.”

When Audrey heard that, she froze for a moment, a strange look flashing across her eyes. She did not expect that arrogant, self–important woman to be a doctor.

Audrey’s expression changed so quickly that aside from Dylan, who had been standing beside her and observing her closely. no one else noticed

Upon hearing the servant’s words, Troy said casually. Then treat her. It’s not my concern. I said you don’t have to tell me about madam!”

The Callahan family was led by their direct relatives. However, in the past few years, Troy’s influence had increased quickly. Even without the support of the Callahan family, no one in ladale City dared to mess with him.

Audrey was not familiar with Troy, but as she had looked into him before, she knew something about him.

When Troy was a child. Grace had him kidnapped by human traffickers. Fortunately, he was rescued by Audrey’s mother; otherwise, something might have happened to him. It was no wonder that Troy did not care about this old lady.

The guests at the Callahan family party were all from ladale City’s upper–class society, so Troy had to exchange pleasantries with them. Fortunately, with Dylan around, he did not have to worry that Audrey would be bullied.

Dylan led Audrey to the resting area, made her sit down, and asked, “Are you hungry? Have some rest here. I’ll get you something to snack on. After we leave later, I’ll take you somewhere to eat.”

Audrey nodded without giving it much thought. Suddenly, she sensed a gaze on her from the crowd. After Dylan left, she turned to look in that direction

That man did not expect Audrey to notice him. When he saw her looking over, he nodded with a smile and raised his glass to her.

Audrey’s gaze landed on the man’s face. After a short pause, she looked away with a frown.

Before Dylan returned, Simon walked over and smiled at the woman sitting on the sofa. “What’s your relationship with Troy?” he asked.

Audrey was not surprised to see Simon at the Callahan family party. “My mother’s foster younger brother. I call him Uncle, she replied, raising her eyebrows, her face remaining indifferent.

“No wonder!” Simon nodded before he continued. “When did you arrive? Why didn’t you come to my house! My dad misses you very much

Audrey said coldly, Tve only been here for two days. I’ll visit him another day.”

Simon did not mind her indifference. Audrey had always been like this, and he was already used to it.

However, when the other guests saw this, they could not help but gossip, and even the way they looked at Audrey changed. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Other than being close to Troy, this woman even knew Dylan and the eldest son of the Evans family! Who the hell was she? Everyone was curious about Audrey’s identity.

Moreover, unlike other families, the Evans family had always been low–key. Most of its members were lawyers, politicians, or prominent figures who had made significant contributions to the country. It was a true aristocratic family.

However, rumors had it that Simon, the eldest son of the Evans family and a top lawyer in Chritonias, was already married to the eldest daughter of the Feine family.

If it was true, things would get interesting. After all, Nina was not easy to mess with.

When Dylan brought the food over, he saw Simon and Audrey chatting in a good mood. Audrey, usually vigilant and cold toward others, was now wearing a relaxed smile.

Dylan’s face darkened. He compressed his lips, looking coldly at Simon.

“Hey, your guy is here. He seems a little unhappy!” Simon still remembered Dylan had crashed into his car like crazy in Northville. When he saw Dylan, he could not help but raise his eyebrows and smile provocatively.

Audrey glanced at Dylan before calmly retracting her gaze.

Simon thought Dylan would definitely lose his temper, but to his surprise. Dylan just nod at him. He then walked over to Audrey and gently handed her the food.

“These are all ready to eat. I had them heated up. You shouldn’t eat uncooked or cold food recently. It’ll upset your stomach, said Dylan

Simon smiled, sensing that Dylan was subtly warning him that Audrey was his. He glanced at Audrey, raised his eyebrows, and clicked his tongue. “Mr. Clifford, long time no see!”

Dylan looked up at Simon and nodded, his voice still cold. “Mr. Evans, long time no see!”

“It’s been a long time since we last met. Mr. Clifford, you really impressed me–chasing Audrey everywhere! Those who don’t know the truth would think you’re a stalker, Simon looked at Dylan with a smile, his tone sarcastic.

Instead of losing his temper like last time, Dylan only glanced at him indifferently. “Of course, I can’t compare to you. Mr. Evans, I heard Ms. Feine has gone abroad. I’m afraid you can’t be a stalker even if you want to.”

Simon’s mouth twitched. He struggled to hold back the urge to curse. Now he realized why Dylan wasn’t mad. It seemed like he had already investigated everything about him.

However, it was not difficult for someone from the Clifford family to find out he was married.

“You jerk! Simon cursed inwardly. He then mocked, “At least I’ve had my marriage registered. But someone hasn’t even won over his sweetheart yet!”

Dylan looked at Simon coldly. “Oh?”

Annoyed by Dylan’s indifference, Simon snorted angrily.

Dylan remained calm, continuing to hand Audrey food. When she was almost done, he quietly finished the rest.

Simon watched Dylan’s every move in surprise. It was rare to find someone more attentive to Audrey than he was

Audrey did not care about the war between the two men at all. She thought of something and asked Simon. Who’s that man?” Simon followed Audrey’s gaze and said, “He’s from the Gresham family.
