The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 37 Be on your husband’s side!

Tihana sat in front of her mirror, getting her makeup done. She made the makeup as moderate as she could.

She and Aiden was invited to the Mr Ernest business party.

She finished applying her makeup and left the room after picking up her purse.

She climbed down the stairs carefully not to fall in her stilleto heels.

She was wearing a black sleeveless sparkling long gown and a silver stilleto with a silver purse to match.

Her hair was curled with the help of the maids. She packed it up in a ponytail, leaving two strings to fall at the front and it gave her that gorgeous look.

Aiden was waiting for her in the sitting room downstairs he stood up on hearing her clicking heels.

Tihana stopped walking as she stood in front of him.

Aiden was dazzled at the sight in front of him. He completely forgot himself at that moment.

Tihana coughed lightly when the stare was becoming too much for her to bear.

“Let’s go.” Aiden said as if getting his senses back and walked out of the house. Tihana sighed before following him out.

Aiden was the one driving as he asked Wayne to take a break tonight. He and Tihana entered the car and he started the car. He honked and the security opened the gate before they finally drove out of the house.

Aiden stole glances at Tihana countless times, at first, she was okay with it but with time, she got so uncomfortable. Their eyes met at interval.

Tihana couldn’t deny the fact that Aiden looked more handsome and she found herself drooling at him but she tried not to make it obvious.

“You look beautiful tonight.” Aiden didn’t know when the words flew out of his mouth.

Tihana turned instantly to him but he looked like he hadn’t said anything a while ago.

She took her eyes away when he didn’t say anything again and bit her lower lips.

In less than thirty minutes, they got to their destination and Aiden found a perfect place to park. He and Tihana alighted from the car.

Tihana stared at the gigantic building in front of her and smiled. She could see different expensive cars parked at the area they parked their car.

Aiden started walking to the back of the building. Tihana didn’t know her way around, so she just followed him behind.

He suddenly halted his steps and pushed her to the wall then he kissed her!Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Cold chills ran down her spine as his lips locked with hers and she could feel the sparks. She found herself reciprocating to the kiss.

Ever since they were in the car, Aiden has been having this fantasy of kissing her, especially when she bit her lips.

Aiden stepped away from her and she used the opportunity to catch her breath. They maintained eye contact for a moment before he walked away.

Tihana stood rooted in her position and slowly moved her hand to touch her lips.

What just happened? Did Aiden just …..

But why?

“Thank you everyone for honoring my invitation, I’m really grateful that you all left the comfort of your home just to attend this party.” Mr Ernest started.

“Many of you might not know why I held this party and I will tell you why.”

“Early last month, I embarked on a project which I referred to a very risky one. At first, I didn’t want to but then, I thought about it again.”

“I mean, a business man with the goal to progress has to risk some certain things in life, right?” Most of the people in the hall agreed with him and he laughed.

“So, I called you all here to share in my joy because the project turned out to be very successful.” He smiled at the end of his speech and there was a loud ovation.

“Another aim for this party is for us to connect more with our kind of people.” There was another clap ovation for him.

“Once again, I thank you.” He bowed slightly to them before handing back the mic to the MC.

“Life of a business man.” Diana muttered on her seat.

“Yeah.” Wayne agreed and they smiled at each other.

“Okay, we’ve heard from the host, the next thing we would do now is maybe have the couple dance.” The MC cheered and a sweet slow song started playing from the background.

“Want to dance?” Wayne stretched out his hand. Diana nodded as she accepted his hand.

They went to the dance floor. Wayne held her waist as they danced to the rhythm of the song being played.

“I never knew you could dance.” Wayne said lowly and Diana smiled.

“That’s because you never asked.”

“What other special talent do this damsel have?” Diana blushed and she bent her head.

“Will you stop flattering me?” She blushed the more.

Wayne let out a soft smile as he watched her cheeks turn red.

“Alright.”

The song ended and another one started playing again from the background.

While they danced, Diana sighted Tihana from afar but creased her brow when she saw her sitting alone.

Wayne noticed this and he turned to see what she was looking at.

“Is there a problem?” He asked when he saw nothing except for other people like them.

“Ummm, can you please excuse me? I will be right back.” Diana excused and dissembled into the crowd.

Wanye bit his lip in confusion. Why did she suddenly leave? Or did he do anything wrong again and she only used that as an excuse to leave him?

“Hey girlie.” Diana cheered sitting on the chair beside Tihana. Diana elbowed her friend who was looking lost in thoughts.

Tihana was startled as she looked at her friend with a small frown.

“Why did you do that?”

“Why are you sitting here all alone by yourself so lost in thoughts?” Diana asked back.

“I’m not all alone, as you can see, there are people around.”

“I’m not talking about that. What I mean is why you are sitting here but it looks like your mind is somewhere else.” Tihana sighed but didn’t say anything.

“Where is your husband by the way?” Diana asked again.

“Well, you can see he is not here.” Tihana adjusted back on her seat.

Diana folded her hands beneath her breast, staring keenly at Tihana.

“Did you guys have a fight again?”

“It would have been better if that was the case.” Tihana muttered but Diana heard her anyways.

“Why did you say that?”

“He kissed me!” Tihana spilled.

“And what did you do?”

“Don’t tell me you kissed him back.” Diana said again when Tihana didn’t reply to her question.

She dropped down her hands to her thighs as she’ve now gotten her answer.

“You kissed him back even after knowing who he is.”

“He is Aiden Turner, the one who treats ladies like a piece of thrash, incase you’ve forgotten.” Diana half yelled.

Thankfully for them, no one heard because of the music and chattering from the people.

“I know all that, you don’t have to read it out to me over again.” Tihana scoffed out.

“I’m not sure you do, else you wouldn’t have kissed him back. What were you even thinking when it happened?” Diana asked in amusement as she hoped it wasn’t what she was thinking.

“I also don’t know. All I know was that he kissed me and I couldn’t control myself at that point, so l reciprocated the kiss.” Tihana explained staring into nothing.

Diana was silent for a while, still staring at her friend.

“Stop staring at me that way. The kiss meant nothing.” Tihana shrugged trying to assure Diana who looked like a detective trying to figure something out.

“Are you sure?” Diana raised a brow and Tihana nodded countlessly. She herself, wasn’t sure of what she just said.

“Fine, if you say so, but please always have the fact of who he is, at the back of your mind and be careful.” Diana advised with all seriousness.

“I will.”

Diana looked up to see Aiden approaching them.

“Speaking of the devil.” Diana muttered and Tihana raised up her head to see who she was referring to.

“I have to go back to my date now, he must be waiting for me.” Diana said and walked away before Tihana could reply.

Tihana also stood up and looked for ways to leave but then she couldn’t because it would be rude as grandfather was also with Aiden.

“Good evening grandfather.” Tihana bowed as she glued her eyes to the floor.

She doesn’t want to meet Aiden’s eyes as she was still nervous from the kiss.

“Evening dear. I hope you’re enjoying the party.”

“Yes grandfather, thank you for asking.” Tihana flashed grandfather a smile. She made sure not to meet Aiden’s gaze.

“Why aren’t you by your husband’s side in an occasion like this? You should be with him to know more of his business partners!” Tihana became speechless and she really wished Aiden would answer this as he has always done.

She waited for seconds but when she didn’t hear anything from him, she raised her eyes and caught him staring at her.

She took her eyes away immediately and bowed again to grandfather.

“I’m really sorry, I just, I…..” Tihana sought for words to say, in the process stammered aimlessly.
