The Million-Dollar Heart (Percival and Vivienne)

Chapter 1099

Vivienne furrowed her brows, keeping silent.

Indeed, from the moment she saw Percival's supposed "corpse," she knew it wasn't him.

How could she not recognize the lifelike android she had crafted with her own hands?

And the plane explosion raised too many questions. Among all those people on board, only Percival's body was found?

At the time, she truly didn't know what Percival was up to. She had no choice but to play along.

Since then, Percival had vanished without a trace, not a word exchanged between them.

But she speculated that Percival's disappearance had something to do with the man Abigail left behind.

So, she began a nationwide search for Percival, like a woman possessed, all to convince the man behind Abigail that she truly believed Percival was dead.

On one hand, she searched for Percival; on the other, she had Finnian investigate in secret. Aside from Finnian, she hadn't breathed a word of this to anyone.

Logan's eyes widened, realizing he was out of his depth in the world of the powerful.

If he were in her shoes, he'd have long accepted Percival's death and moved on, not scheming so intricately.

No wonder Ms. Vivienne had come to Luck Village.

She must've known about Luck Village's dark secret, hadn't she?

With that thought, Logan asked, "What about the poisoner then? You may look like Sebastian, but poisoners are soaked in toxins from birth. Won't they realize you're impersonating Sebastian?"

Percival glanced at Vivienne, a smile playing on his lips, "That's where my wife, the Specter Healer, comes into play."

Logan looked puzzled, "What do you mean?"

"Vivienne once developed a highly toxic pill. Whoever takes it would be filled with poison, but since I had taken an antidote beforehand, my body appeared poisoned without any real danger," Percival explained, pausing briefly. "But in this village, I still pretend to be frail." The development of that pill had been a whimsical project for Vivienne, who, seized by a sudden inspiration, crafted it and handed it over to Percival, finding it unexpectedly useful now.

Understanding, Logan then asked, "What happened to the real Sebastian?"

"He's been captured," Percival answered.

"But..."

Before Logan could continue, Vivienne cut him off, "Go to bed!"

Nodding, Logan said, "Then, Ms. Vivienne, Mr. Ellington, I'll leave you to talk."

He might not be the brightest, but he wasn't foolish.

It was clear Ms. Vivienne had private matters to discuss with Mr. Ellington, and if he didn't take the hint and leave, he'd be in trouble.

After Logan left for the neighboring house, Vivienne turned to Percival, "What's your plan now?" Percival sighed lightly, "It won't be long before I settle things here. You didn't need to come." Vivienne met his gaze, "If I hadn't come, were you planning to sacrifice yourself to them?" Percival pursed his lips, somewhat helplessly, "I can't hide anything from Vivienne, can I?" Indeed, Luck Village had sinister plans for him.

Specifically, for Sebastian, the poisoner!

Sebastian, being a poisoner, was raised by the village chief himself.

From birth, Sebastian's fate was sealed; he had no control over his own life or death.

His death was meant to serve as a catalyst for dark rituals.

The village chief sought an antidote because Sebastian was disobedient, wanting to escape his poisoner fate and Luck Village.

A decade ago, on a secluded mountain, Sebastian discovered a potent toxin, different from what the village chief regularly concocted.

Being an expert on poisons, Sebastian recognized its lethal potential at a glance.

By consuming the toxin, he could disrupt the village chief's plans.

Forced to find an antidote, the villagers were at a loss, lacking the knowledge to counteract the poison.

For years, they sought a healer capable of detoxifying a person, knowing only of the Specter Healer, who was tied to Abigail and untouchable. Moreover, they feared the Specter Healer uncovering their secrets upon arriving in the village.

Thus, they waited years for the arrival of the Thousand-Hands Healer, unaware that she was Vivienne's apprentice.

Vivienne glanced at Percival, "I've cut off all escape routes. Since I'm here in Luck Village, I won't leave you to fend for yourself."

Looking up at Percival, she said sternly, "Percival, if you dare leave me behind again, don't bother coming home." Percival, "..."

He stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Vivienne, whispering, "I won't do it again."

It was his fault!Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

All he wanted was to provide Vivienne with a comfortable life, but he never considered that she didn't need to hide behind a man.

She was capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with men in any battle.

Percival gently caressed Vivienne's delicate cheek, a face he'd dreamt of for five long years, finally before him.

He leaned in, kissing her lips.

Vivienne wrapped her arms around his waist, murmuring softly, "Mr. Wolf, I've missed you!"

A wave of emotion surged through Percival, "I've missed you too, Vivienne."

After a moment of tenderness,

Percival, holding Vivienne's hand sat

down, "I've already notified the

authorities. Once I find Abigail's

adopted son, we'll move in on Luck

Village."

"I can't wait any longer." Vivienne looked up, her expression serious, "These five years, I've waited every day. Now, I don't want to wait anymore."

Percival raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean, Vivienne?"

"Abigail's adopted son, I've already

found him. He's within my control. I don't want to beat around the bush anymore. Let's deal with this matter and finish him off. I want to retire with you."

She was tired, no longer wanting to deal with these affairs.

"Alright!" Percival nodded.

Vivienne turned to look out the window into the night, saying in a deep voice, "As for Luck Village..."

Her lips curved into a slight smile, "There's nothing that a bomb can't fix."

If one bomb isn't enough, then we'll use several!

Percival laughed. His Vivienne, always so decisive and action-oriented!
