Chapter 33: Jealousy
Tredan Davi is sure to dislike Octavia Gills so much that he won’t even see her again. Because that’s what Tredan Davi hates most, a gold-digger. The more she thought about it, the happier she became… God has really helped her so much!
“Tredan, have you had lunch yet? I packed your favorite beef brisket for you!” Seeing Tredan Davi sitting in his office looking like an ostrich with his head in the sand, Lilian Drye looked a little distressed, and at first glance, she thought he had lost weight.
“Tredan, you’ve lost all some weight! You’ve been working so hard lately that you haven’t taken care of yourself! Come on, this won’t be good later if it gets cold!” Lilian Drye walked up to Tredan Davi, hugged his shoulder from the back and gently rested her head on Tredan Davi’s neck.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Tredan Davi’s hand on the keyboard suddenly stopped. Why didn’t he feel as happy as before when Lilian came to see him, as if he had seen an expensive jewel, instead he felt empty now, as if his heart was frozen. He should have been happy!
He gently pushed Lilian Drye’s hand on his shoulder away, pretended to rise naturally, smiled slightly and said to Lilian Drye, “Good work, now I won’t have to travel so far to get it later, and my favorite thing is that beef brisket noodle you cook!”
“I cooked the beef brisket noodles? Oh, oh… it’s been so long since I’ve done that. I can’t cook anymore, and there’s quite a lot going on at work, but I’ll make it for you when I have time!” Lilian Drye panicked; Tredan Davi hadn’t mentioned ‘her’ brisket noodles in front of her in over ten years. She would have to find a way to learn to cook someday.
Tredan Davi didn’t go deeper into the conversation with Lilian Drye, but just couldn’t help but exclaim as he ate, “Octavia Gills can also cook the beef brisket pasta that you used to be so good at making, and it tastes very similar!”
“Octavia Gills? Octavia Gills again?” the indignation that Lilian Drye had tried so hard to conceal exploded instantly, “Tredan, why don’t you see this woman for what she really is! What the hell do you see in her? Is it because that bitch can cook the same brisket noodles I cooked back in the day?” Tredan, wake up, Lilian is here, Lilian is here!” Tredan Davi was speechless and looked at Lilian with dull, distracted eyes.
“Tredan, did you know that Octavia Gills was having a dirty affair with your brother Eddison Davi? If it wasn’t for Eddison Davi’s status as managing director, do you think a little finance clerk of five years would have become the head of finance as soon as Eddison Davi took over. Tredan, a woman like that you…”
“Enough, Lilian!” said Tredan Davi, he clenched his hands tightly at his sides, making his veins burst and showing conspicuous bruises. He didn’t want to hear any more, as the scene from that day at Octavia Gills’ house came rushing back to him.
“Tredan, you don’t believe what I’m saying do you? Why would I, Lilian Drye, need to slander such a small person?” She was resigned to the fact that Tredan would not listen, so she took out her phone and played the part she had recorded in the restroom today.
“I heard that this Octavia Gills was waiting in the bar for our General Manager to strike!”
“No way, I usually see Ms. Octavia as svelte, not like that kind of person!”
“What can you see with your eyes? If you could see it with your head, would it still be brilliant? If Octavia Gills wasn’t clever, would she be able to get our love interest to send flowers to her office every day? If Octavia Gills didn’t have an affair with the General Manager, would this dull-witted Octavia Gills have gone from being a nondescript financial secretary to having her own office on the GM’s first day of work? Don’t be silly!”
…
The conversation between the two women can be heard clearly on the phone recording, and Tredan Davi’s face grew darker and grimmer, a ghostly scowl, his eyes sharpening as he stared at the phone in Lilian Drye’s hand.
“Enough, Lilian, what do you want?” Tredan Davi looked a little disgusted by Lilian Drye’s actions at this point.
“What do I want, Tredan, why do you ask what I want? I’ve done everything for your own good, haven’t I? I’m afraid you’ve been cheated on, I’ve been putting up with you having an affair with another woman today, and you’re asking me what I want? Have you ever considered my feelings?” Lilian Drye couldn’t believe that the man who had said he loved her for life was treating her this way.
“Feelings? Have you ever thought for one second about my feelings too? Did you ever think for one second that I would be upset when you wanted to leave the country, and just letting me know about it right before you leave?” Tredan Davi finally said the words he had suppressed for years. At that moment, he longed for Lilian Drye to give up going abroad for him, even if it was only a moment of hesitation, at least she would not be so determined to leave him behind.
“No! No! It’s not like that, Tredan, I’m back, aren’t I? I’m back with you, and I’ll never leave you again.” Lilian Drye hugged Tredan Davi tightly, afraid that he would not feel the true feelings she had for him.
Tredan Davi was getting a little tired of this charade with Lilian Drye and pushed her hand away. And in response to Tredan Davi’s indifference, Lilian Drye refused to let go, cupping Tredan Davi’s face in her hands and sobbing bitterly.
“Tredan, let’s forget everything that happened before, okay? I’ll never leave you again, believe me, let’s be good together and never be apart, our fathers have also started the preparations for our engagement.”
“Lilian, we both need to calm down and take some time apart, we both need some time alone!” Tredan Davi looked at Lilian Drye with mixed feelings and handed her a tissue to dry her face, but Lilian Drye took this opportunity instead, to grab Tredan Davi’s hand to wipe her tears.
“Tredan, you still love me, don’t you? You still have a heart for me, don’t you? Let’s not break up, we don’t need to be calm, I can’t live without you, you said I was inside of you, and no one can replace me, didn’t you?” She couldn’t let Tredan Davi drop her, no, absolutely not.
“Lilian, I have a meeting later, we’ll talk about our business when we’ve calmed down!”
“No! No! Tredan, no!” Tredan Davi chose to be evasive and left Lilian Drye sitting alone.
He was in turmoil; he didn’t know when he had felt that Lilian Drye had become such a stranger. But what angered him most at the moment was the gossip about Octavia Gills’ relationship with Eddison Davi, he would never allow his woman to be near any other man, never!
Especially the Eddison Davi.
Octavia Gills stepped sullenly from the bus and walked listlessly down the familiar lane to her home. Suddenly a black Mercedes-Benz sped past her like an enraged horse, four wheels of dust and grit lashing out at Octavia Gills, who grabbed her bag in her hand to shield her face, not even daring to open her eyes.
All that was heard was a harsh braking sound before the car backed up and drove to a halt beside Octavia Gills.
This, this is Tredan Davi’s car? What’s he doing here? Looking for her?
Tredan Davi, dressed in a black suit, stepped out of the car. His handsome, rigid face was unusually sullen and tense, and a cold chill emanated from his body.
Without saying a word, Tredan Davi opened the back compartment straight away, walked over to Octavia Gills and picked her up in a cross-legged hug and threw her straight into the compartment. Closing it with a slam! Then he got into the driver’s seat, locked the car, and stepped on the gas, as he sped off to the direction of the old Davi Family house.
“Tredan, where do you want to take me?”
“Tredan, what do you want?”
“Tredan, can you stop at the company, what are you doing?”
“Tredan Davi, say something!”
In the car, no matter how much Octavia Gills asked, Tredan Davi never gave her any response, he was silent, his sharp eyes held a hint of murder, and Octavia Gills vaguely sensed that Tredan Davi was now showing danger signs.
The car drove straight into the basement parking garage of the old Davi Family house. With a slight push, Octavia Gills was pulled out of the car and straight into the arms of Tredan Davi.
Octavia Gills was still conscious and tried to get free, but this little refusal made Tredan Davi furious. As the lift doors were about to open, Tredan Davi threw his right hand around Octavia Gills’ waist and wrapped his left hand tightly around Octavia Gills’ neck, carrying her into the lift with him. Tredan Davi did not allow Octavia Gills to resist him, nor did he allow her to say anything, he covered her mouth with his lips and sank into it like a predator devouring its prey.
The lift in the Davi Family’s parking garage is a direct link to the lobby. As soon as the lift doors opened, Tredan Davi turned around and fluttered out with Octavia Gills like two passionate butterflies into the sofa at the lobby.
“Tredan, you… wait!” Octavia Gills kept telling herself that it was wrong to go on like this, she couldn’t do it.
Tredan Davi didn’t let up on her, Octavia Gills’ hands were held firmly above her head by Tredan’s left hand, his right hand ripping her clothes with a frenzy of insanity, stroking every inch of her body shamelessly. His warm palms rubbed her full, high breasts without fear, his thick, sensual lips not content to leave her lips, sucked his way down her neck in ecstasy until he was satisfied by dropping a kiss on those proud nipples.
“Is he as good as me?” Tredan Davi suddenly spoke, questioning Octavia Gills.
“Him?… Ah… who is he?” Octavia Gills wondered who Tredan Davi was referring to by him!
Was she playing the fool with him? Tredan Davi had no more patience with her and mounted Octavia Gills, removing his own clothes that was separating him from her. When Octavia Gills opened her eyes, his naked body displayed in full view.
He had a magnificent figure, a bronze complexion, well-defined and deep features, like a Greek sculpture, and his dark, deep, icy eyes appeared wild and unrestrained, evil and wickedly sexual. His three-dimensional features are as handsome as a sharp knife, and his whole person emits a powerful kingly aura, and his evil and handsome face holds a debauched smile at this time.
