Chapter 2120
Thalassa was utterly taken aback, her eyes wide as she stared at Hertha in disbelief. "Seriously, our big day is next Wednesday too? You guys as well?"
"Yeah, yeah, next Wednesday for us too. Can you believe it? Same day!" Hertha nodded vigorously, as if fearing Thalassa might have misunderstood.
"By the way, which venue have you guys booked? We're planning on having it at the Starhaven International Hotel," Hertha asked, barely containing her excitement.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Lysander picked out this rustic barn in the countryside, but I'll talk to him about maybe switching to the Starhaven International Hotel. It would be amazing to have our weddings together," Thalassa mused, liking the idea of sharing her special day with her best friend, Hertha.
"That would be awesome! Go talk to Lysander, and then we could both walk down the aisle, you towards Lysander and me towards Alaric. Just imagining that beautiful and sacred moment makes me so happy," Hertha was already daydreaming.
Having their weddings together would be a dream come true for her.
"I'll also talk to Alaric. If Lysander isn't keen on changing venues, I might just go ahead and set ours to be the same as yours," Hertha added. She knew Lysander well enough to know his domineering nature; he was used to calling the shots and not so much listening to others.
Getting him to compromise on their chosen venue might not sit well with him.
To avoid any potential conflict between Thalassa and Lysander, Hertha was willing to be more flexible since Alaric tended to go along with her wishes. Thalassa, understanding Hertha's concerns, smiled. "You're always so thoughtful."
"Of course! What kind of best friend would I be if I weren't?" Hertha boasted with pride.
Soon, the waiter brought over their meal. Thalassa handed Hertha a fork, saying, "Let's eat."
"Did you want to meet today just to talk about this?" Hertha asked as she started to dig in.
"Yeah, I originally wanted to ask you to be my bridesmaid. But it looks like that's off the table now," Thalassa said with a teasing tone.
"Ha, that's hilarious. But honestly,
after being part of Spencer's wedding, think it's better not to have bridesmaids. We both have our little ones, right? Let's have them be the flower kids; it'll be much better than having bridesmaids," Hertha suggested.
"That's actually a brilliant idea! I have four little ones, two boys and two girls. They'll steal the show for sure," Thalassa realized, excited by the idea.
"It won't just be stealing the show; it
will be a global sensation!" Hertha corrected "Given Lysander's
influence, there's bound to be a ton of press a
of press at your wedding, maybe even live coverage. Your wedding will definitely be watched by the Whole world."
"That sounds terrifying," Thalassa admitted, feeling overwhelmed just thinking about that level of attention.
Was all that media frenzy really necessary for a wedding?
"You'll see, I'm right," Hertha said confidently, continuing her meal.
"I need to talk to Lysander about this, make sure we don't have the press intruding." Thalassa was grateful for the heads-up, realizing she didn't want their intimate celebration to turn into a public spectacle.
"If you don't want the world's eyes on you, better talk to him sooner rather than later," Hertha advised, unfazed by the prospect of media attention. "We can sit over here," suddenly, a man's voice chimed in from a nearby table.
The voice sounded familiar.
Without thinking, Thalassa and Hertha glanced over.
They saw a man in casual attire, strikingly handsome, settling down at the table across from them, with a woman joining him.
