Josh’s Pov

I struggled to get my tie off my dumb neck which seemed like it was smothering me, as I left the room

full of shocked people, following my wife from behind. I clutched it fiercely, attempting to free it, but it

felt cemented to my neck.

I began suffocating because all I did was tighten it around my neck, depriving myself of oxygen.

Jessica, who was furiously walking in front of me, came to a halt and turned, yelling, “You’re killing

yourself!” as she took my hands off my neck and rapidly undid the tie.

I dashed to the corner of the parking lot and puked my guts out. My guts felt like they were on fire and

about to come out of my mouth.

As I held on, my eyes were about to pop out of their sockets. My wife who was just seconds away from

me was nowhere near. I only heard her inquire whether I was all right from a distance.

I raised my hand and wiped any vomit that had accumulated on my dry cracked lips. I was exhausted,

my heart was beating fast, and the silly weight I had gained was only exacerbating the situation.

I needed to sit down because I was dizzy from all the vomiting and, more significantly, from the sh*t

that was just slapped in my face.

“What are you up to?” Jessica screamed at me? “Get up right now! Get up!” she yelled repeatedly. Her

tone was so unpleasant, and she was simply adding to my misery.

“Shut your f**king mouth!” I yelled at her and clutched my splitting skull which felt to be slamming into

my skull.

“What are you thinking, people are going to start watching us, this is so pitiful,” she exclaimed. Because

I had puked, the miss-perfect couldn’t even stand centimeters away from me.

I chose to ignore her because I already had enough on my plate, and having people watching me sit in

my vomit was the last thing on my mind. Thalia was rich, far more than I was or ever will be even if I

lived two lives.

While I languished in near poverty, the girl I had sacrificed many years to destroy was bathing in

wealth. And, to make matters worse, she was expecting a child while I was without an heir.

My blood boiled thinking about that injustice. Why was fate so cruel to me? I understand the need for

her to come out of the sh*t victorious but why was it at my expense?

I sobbed uncontrollably and laughed so loudly that I drew the attention of numerous others. Someone

up there clearly despised me, which was amusing in a way, or was I paying for my ancestor’s crimes.

“If you don’t get up right now, I’ll leave you in this filthy car park!” Jessica cautioned me, but I didn’t

mind; she was free to leave at any time. She was, after all, the one who couldn’t conceive.

A car stopped over and the door opened, to my surprise it was my father who stepped out angrily. “Get

your stup*d a*s into the car!” He screamed loudly.

“Thank G*d you’ve arrived, Victor,” Jessica tried to downplay the situation.

“Get your a*s into the stup*d car and shut up!” He screamed at her, instead. I was on the verge of

laughing uncontrollably. He approached me and dragged my pathetic a*s into the car.

He was completely enraged. I had no idea how he discovered we were attending the event. Oh, I

forgot, my non-pregnant wife might have informed him, something about the two of them being best

friends or something.

I could hear Jessica objecting to her usage of his car, but Dad didn’t want to hear any of her nonsense

and yelled at her to get in. She walked in enraged and her arms folded, banging the car door hard like

a spoiled seven-year-old.

Dad entered via the front door and started the car. The ride to the house was awkward and quiet the

entire way.

Jessica was looking out the other window, while I was looking out my side of the window. We had our

a*ses given to us by a girl who l took every from, none of us wanted to communicate, the humiliation

was too much.

When we arrived at the residence, I was the first one out of the car. I went straight to the liquor cabinet

and started drinking myself to death. Jessica and my father entered the room.

He stepped right up to me and sn*tched the bottle from my grip. I tried to resist, but I was slapped

across the face with a strong smack that felt like I was being electrocuted. Jessica clenched her jaw in

surprise, while I clutched my itching cheek.

“Why would you agree to a trap invitation? Why would anyone invite a collapsing company to such a

posh event?” He became enraged and yelled at us. I quickly turned to face Jessica.

“A… a friend of mine invited us,” she softly replied.

“A friend! Are you two retarded?” he screamed at me “Why didn’t you consult me, why didn’t you notify

me?” On top of his voice, he screamed. Jessica and I could only stare at the floor.

“Someone had to tag me on social media because your embarrassing encounter with Thalia was

broadcasted live all over the internet. The housewife of Josh Nelson resurfaces with another

billionaire’s child!” He screamed. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

“We can sue her!” Jessica said. “Thalia committed a crime when she sat back and watched Josh face

charges for her disappearance.”

My father clenched his jaw and ordered her to shut up ” I spoke with Kim, she informed me that the FBI

had phoned her and informed her about Thalia, but she had chosen to keep the information to herself

because someone in this room chose to block her” Dad said as a wave of hope vanished from me. I

screwed my lawyer and she ended up screwing me too.

“The stup*dity of sleeping with your ugly a*s lawyer!” Jessica yelled at my face. I only kept my gaze on

the floor. She turned to face my father and asked, “ when was that? When did Thalia communicate with

the lawyer? Why wasn’t it in the news?” she asked.

My father said, “Brandon Fraser made sure it wasn’t in the news.”

“So in short she watched my husband get dragged in sh*t and was aware of the situation?”

“Probably spearheaded it, her fiance owns everyone and that explains why we got swamped with those

allegations, just my guess,” he added.

My heart began beating fast, Thalia being responsible for my misfortune was not far-fetched. We

always suspected that someone was behind the sh*t that was being thrown at me.

“So you mean all the lawsuits were orchestrated by her?” Jessica asked.

“Maybe but I am sure that she is coming to finish us off, whether she was behind everything or not. She

deliberately sent that invitation to humiliate you two and you stup*dly fell for it.”

He turned to me and said, “Son our hell just began, she is coming for Gentex whether it is in rumbles or

not.”
