Chapter 30
Chapter 30
It’s been five months since Antoine took over the pack and Harry and I started the Genesis Pack. It’s
not a large pack at thirty members. I, Dean, Harry, Jon, Andy, and a woman named Ambria serve as
the ruling council. As Alpha, I deal with the physical threats to the pack from the outside. Harry
manages our finances, Jon and Andy work on our security. Ambria works with me on public relations. I
growl and grunt, she smiles prettily. We make a pretty good team. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Dean serves as the voice of the pack, if anyone is unhappy with what we’re doing, they can contact him
about it, all the while remaining anonymous to us. This way they will never have to fear retribution from
an alpha or high ranking member. He also helps resolve internal conflicts between members and I’m
really not being biased when I say he does it really well. He’s very good with people, and I’ve yet to see
him fail to resolve any argument.
As expected, the other alphas weren’t pleased. Several, especially the western packs were very vocal
on what they thought about the pack. However, after I kicked three of the western alphas asses when
they tried to challenge me for the pack, they mostly just grumble now. It helps I have a few other near
by alphas supporting me. Namely, Antoine and Ryder who now has taken the alphaship from his father.
When Brook announced she was expecting two months ago, Brent decided he was ‘too old for this shit’
and retired so he’d have time to spoil his grandchildren. I’ve warned him and Emily that the words
grandchildren and my name are strictly forbidden to be used in the same sentence. I was nowhere near
ready for that yet, and though, he won’t admit it, I don’t think Dean is either.
Douche hasn’t been found, but there’s a rumor circling that he tried to go back to his old alpha friend,
but the alpha threatened to send him straight to Father in silver if he didn’t leave his territory. Antoine
was right, no one likes someone who abandoned their family and pack, only to turn around and attack
said family. Where ever he is, he’s not going to have it easy. Sometimes I start to feel sorry for him then
realize he brought this all on himself.
I could never imagine my life would come to be like it is now, but I wouldn’t change any of it for the
world.
