Sold to Mr. Arrogant

What’s wrong with him?

What’s wrong with him?

Lily's POV:

He did not come back the whole night, he slept in his old bedroom. I know that I rejected him but I did

not expect him to act this way, I even tried to apologize but he strongly blocked me. My pride was hurt

as I was waiting for him all night long but he did not come back.

Gerald informed me during breakfast that we will meet with the CEO of ChemiPharma and the

executives of the company. We will discuss with them some documents regarding my rights over the

company. It seems that Gerald will use me to kick him out and take over or something.

"I will also attend this meeting," Shawn commented.

"We won't need you there though,"

"I would like to help, I think that Lily should be supervising the work since it is her company, after all, I

will help her recognize her duties."

"Did you forget that you have your own work to accomplish," Gerald clarified.

"I can always find time for my wife,"

After breakfast, I quickly followed Shawn.

"Wait," I said as I grabbed his hand for him to stop.

He looked at where our hands joined as if he was creeped out by our touch. Then he carelessly looked

my way. Isn't he overreacting? Why is he being this arrogant? I wondered.

"Did Gerald tell you about the will?" I asked.

"Yes, you didn't ask for my help though nor tell me anything about it, I guess you can take care of

everything on your own," he replied pulling his hand away as he took his leave. He still headed to his

own room. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

I think I understand why he is this mad, he did not appreciate that I hid it from him. I had my reasons

though; I wonder about what Gerald told him. I hope he did not tarnish my image somehow.

I am busy dealing with this at the moment, to be honest; my pride pushed me to head to my room. I

needed privacy anyway so it suits me well. I sent Siergo a message.

‘ A board’s meeting will be held today.’

I deleted the message after it has reached him as always.

Jessy chose a nice classy dress to wear; she said that I needed to look confident and beautiful to gain

everyone’s respect. It is not as if I care to gain their admiration anyway, I just wanted to end this misery

of mine as soon as possible.

I rode with Shawn in the same car, we followed Gerald’s car that was leading the way. The whole ride

was silent; we did not address each other at all. Why did he choose to come on his own accord to help

me if he was going to act this way? He is getting on my nerves, damn it.

We reached ChemiPharma, I was looking at it for the second time now. We accessed the meeting

room and everyone has already gathered. I hope my tip help Siergo take control of the situation.

“Welcome, Mr. Gerald… We are quite honored to meet you,” one of the executives began.

“It is my honor, gentlemen,”

If I got it right and as far as I know, no one in this company wishes for Mr. Gerald to be the CEO, they

know that democracy would be totally eliminated and their authority will diminish.

They could not help but coax him with fancy words since he is more powerful than all of them.

“Hello, Mr. Gerald…” Siergo showed up.

“Hello, Siergo. I have heard a lot about you,”

“Let us begin this meeting since everyone is here now,” Gerald added.

The summary of this meeting is as follows; according to the will, I am the only child of Indigo Finland

and I have all the rights to become the owner of this company but since I have asked Gerald to take

over the company instead of me as he is my family, all the rights goes to him as well.

Everyone was silent even though they wanted to disagree with Gerald; the only voice that arose from

the seated gentlemen was no one other than Shawn, the only one who can go against Gerald.

“I think I was being clear when I implied that I will assist Lily in leading this business,” Shawn ordered.

It was an order, a clear one. Gerald clenched his jaw irritated with his child’s bad attitude; he is

interfering with his plans, which obviously pissed him off.

“Okay then, I will leave it to the young ones. I hope you help them as well, Mr. Siergo… Your help

would be pretty much appreciated.” Gerald instructed before taking his leave. The executives left as

well leaving only me, Shawn, and Siergo in the room.

“ I guess we need to come up with a plan if we wanted to make things work out,” Siergo started.

“The plan’s easy, you just need to get me all the papers of this company’s last ten years and I will help

Lily take care of everything from there,”

“Great, I will bring in the papers; I have to tell you that you can’t count on the papers alone though,”

“What are you implying?”

“You will need my help,” Siergo explained.

It seems that Shawn was not happy with this conversation, Siergo kept talking back to him and Shawn

is not used to be treated this way.

“You want to assist Lily 100 percent, am I right?” Siergo added.

“We will take care of it on our own,” Shawn repeated in a slightly angry tone.

“Okay then, call me when you need me,”

For some reason, I felt that this conversation held, an underlying meaning that was not clear but was

still felt within the lines.
