“You’d better not meddle in my affairs.”
Mayra showed no mercy. She had seen many teens like Serena who fooled around with wealth, men to satisfy their vanity. They had already experienced the lifestyles and pleasures of upper- class society. Thus, returning to their previous lifestyles would be difficult.
Especially people like Serena, who would go all out just for money.
Instead of getting offended, Serena was amused. Then, she entered the school by scanning her student card.
“I guess not many people in this school know you’re Mr. Barlow’s younger sister, right? I’m really curious. Although I’ve been in the upper–class society for many years, I’ve never heard about your relation to the Barlow family. How exactly do you know Mr. Barlow?
She continued, “Could you be his…”
Although Serena didn’t finish her sentence, she looked at Mayra meaningfully..
“Does Gordon know about this?”
It was the morning class time, so the school path was empty. The air was hot, and the cicadas‘ noise was irritating.
In Mayra’s previous life, she had learned some combat skills from Anderson. She pressed her elbow against Serena’s throat and cast her a fierce glare. “I’m warning you, If you dare to spread rumors, I won’t let you off.”
Serena moaned softly, “Mayra, harder! It feels so good!”
Mayra frowned while Serena smiled mockingly at her. “I was born into luxury. I’ve been around many female escorts since three years old. I witnessed a man and woman in bed when I was eight, worked in high–end clubs at 11, and started dealing with men at 15.
“I know what positions make men fee. the best…”
She added, “With just some simple words, I can make them willingly give me money.”
She probed further, “Is Mr. Barlow your biological brother? The way he looks at you isn’t like how an older brother looks at his younger
sister. It’s more like…”
Mayra increased more pressure on her elbow. “Shut up!”
Despite feeling pain, Serena chuckled. “Why are you so mad? Is it because I hit the mark? Why do you think he would personally teach me how to play golf in Candor City the last time? Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Don’t you want to know how I managed to get close to your brother?”
Serena’s background surprised Mayra. It turned out that Serena exuded such a seductive air because she was a natural temptress. Mayra lowered her hand and said, “I don’t want to know about that. But you’d better keep your mouth shut about Gordon and me.”
After warning Serena, Mayra turned and walked away.
Serena refused to let it go. “Mayra, we’re both the same kind of
person!”
Mayra stopped in her tracks and cast her a side glance. “I’m also warning you to stay away from Anderson.”
Serena touched her neck. “Mayra, you really don’t seem like a 16- year–old girl. Compared to those nerds, you’re far more interesting.”
When Mayra returned to the classroom, there weren’t many people studying. Most were doing their own things, using their phones or reading books.
When a teacher arrived, they would pretend to study by picking up their books. Most of the students came from wealthy families. Even if they didn’t get into a university, their families could send them abroad to study, enriching their resumes.
As soon as Mayra returned to the classroom, she silently memorized the book’s content. She truly wanted to change her future. She no longer wanted to be anyone’s accessory.
She didn’t want to live miserably for anyone again.
She wanted to be with Gordon. To her, dating didn’t mean constantly chatting and being idle together all the time.
She desired to become like Gordon. They could work hard together, improve together, and complement each other.
