Revenge After rebirth (Mayra and Anderson)

Chapter 49

One of the maids, Lisa, could no longer hold it in. "Ms. Fisher, you're too kind. You're actually allowing this strange girl to stay at the mansion. Just by the looks of her, I can tell she has something up her sleeve. God knows what schemes she's working on!This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

"I've no idea what Mr. Anderson is thinking as well. He's letting the girl stay here when you're going to be married to him in the future..."

All the maids deemed Isabel as the future lady of the household. She'd been welcoming guests as Anderson's future wife. She could go anywhere in the mansion except his study.

Walking down the stairs, Isabel warned, "Do not gossip about her in the future. She's Andy's sister, which means I'll also treat her as my kin as well. All of us have to treat her well."

Lisa asked curiously, "Ms. Fisher, who is she? Why have we never seen her before? How did Mr. Anderson suddenly have a sister out of nowhere?" Isabel shot her a scathing glare. "Some things aren't meant to be inquired about."

"Noted, Ms. Fisher."

Holding a plush pillow, Mayra soon fell into a deep slumber on the soft bed. She felt quite cold as night fell, so she rolled over and pulled up her blanket.

The doll in her arms fell to the floor, and she was lying facedown on her bed. Her long locks concealed her face as she breathed steadily in her sleep. Thanks to the superb soundproof walls, the bustling maids in the corridor didn't disturb her sleep at all.

At 7:30 p.m., a beam of light flashed through the full-length windows as a luxurious Maybach came to a halt. Isabel resembled a wife waiting for her husband's return from work.

Anderson had just returned from his meeting. In fact, he was unusually early today. He used to come back at around 9:00 or 10:00 p.m., and it was perfectly normal for him to work overtime until midnight or dawn.

Isabel stepped forward and took his jacket from him. "You're back. I thought you'd be late today."

To others, they seemed like the

perfect power couple. In Belchester, the daughter of the Fisher

Corporation was the only match for the heir to the Everton Corporation.

Anderson stepped into the foyer, his gaze drifting across the living room. It seemed like he was searching for someone. "Where's Mayra?"

"Mayra's asleep in the room on the second floor. It seems like she didn't get enough rest last night. I'll go get her. Dinner's ready. We're all waiting for you."

He slipped one hand into his pocket as he ascended the stairs. "It's fine. I'll get her instead."

Anderson opened the door and went into the pitch-black room. He fumbled for the switch, but he didn't turn all the lights on. He only turned on a bedside lamp.

He picked up the plush doll on the

floor and spotted her current sleeping posture. She was lying face down on the bed, and a corner of her shirt was curled up slightly, revealing her waist.

Mayra soon felt a weight on her bed. She glanced up drowsily. Her eyes were still hooded as she tried to make out the figure on her bed. Anderson brushed her dark hair away, noticing the palpable fatigue in her eyes. Her eyes seemed hazy and tired. "Wake up. It's time for dinner." The low timbre in his voice echoed in her ears. She suddenly shifted her posture and leaned against his thigh.

"I'm still dreaming. Let me sleep a little longer." Mayra's hands happened to fall in his palms. She gradually relaxed, and she soon fell asleep again.

"Barbecue ribs and lobster are being served tonight. Aren't they your favorites?remember you told me that you wanted to eat lobster on your birthday," Anderson crooned, his gaze fixated on her as he stroked her hair gently.

The sound of Mayra's stomach growling resonated across the room. "Andy, what time is it now?"
