PREGNANT BUT REJECTED AS A BILLIONAIRE WIFE

“Della, did you see Ms. Deasy?”

Lucas appeared puzzled. Since he returned from the meeting, he hadn’t seen Deasy in his office at all. He had some work to discuss with her, and her absence was starting to worry him.

Even when Lucas tried to contact her as Lucas Orion, his girlfriend didn’t respond. This made him both anxious and concerned.

“She’s not in her office, Sir. It seems like she’s gone out.”

Lucas nodded.

“For a while now? I noticed she hasn’t been around for a bit. There’s something important I want to discuss about work.”

“I’ll try to find her and get in touch, Sir,” Della said. “If I locate her, I’ll let Ms. Deasy know to meet you in your office.”Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

“Yes, thank you very much for your help.”

After Della left the room, Lucas picked up his phone again. He checked repeatedly, hoping for a response from Deasy to the text messages he had sent.

Lucas: Darling, where are you? Why aren’t you answering my calls? Are you okay?

Lucas: Darling? Hello? Please reply. Are you mad at me or something?

Lucas sent numerous text messages, and even when he attempted to call, Deasy didn’t respond at all.

Lucas wanted to know Deasy’s whereabouts desperately. However, without any information on her location, searching for her would be futile.

An hour later, precisely at five in the evening, Lucas heard a knock on his office door. As he invited the person inside, he finally found the woman he had been looking for.

“Ms. Deasy? You finally came. I’ve been looking for you all this time.”

Deasy stepped forward, nodding politely while offering a smile.

“I apologize for not being in the office earlier. There was an urgent matter I had to attend to outside, Sir. But by the way, what is the matter you’d like to discuss?”

Lucas then moved from his desk to the sofa, inviting Deasy to sit, and began discussing work-related issues with the fair-skinned woman.

They spent approximately forty minutes discussing upcoming work deadlines. Convinced that everything had been discussed, Deasy intended to excuse herself.

“I’ll take care of everything after this, Sir. I’ll send the final results to your email shortly.”

“Alright, Ms. Deasy. Just let me know when everything is done. I’ll check it and pass it on to the execution department.”

Deasy nodded.

“Sure, Sir. I’ll get it done. But… before I leave, is there anything else you’d like to convey, Mr. Lucas?”

Lucas appeared to ponder for a moment. Thinking back, he couldn’t think of anything else to discuss with Deasy.

“I don’t think so, Ms. Deasy. We’ve covered everything earlier.”

“Are you sure?” Deasy inquired with a probing expression. “Are you absolutely sure there’s nothing else Mr. Lucas wants to say?”

“Nothing at all, Ms. Deasy. Why do you ask?”

Deasy leaned slightly forward in her seat. She gazed intently at him, then offered a bitter smile to Lucas.

“You never know, Mr. Lucas. Perhaps you’d like to clarify something about Lucas Morales, who apparently has been masquerading as Lucas Orion all this time.”

Lucas was startled. His eyes widened, and he found Deasy displaying a face full of emotions and profound disappointment.
