Audrey & Third Person
Audrey's POV
"A human like her never should have been allowed to compete.
"I know, right? She got involved in something she shouldn't have, and now look at her..."
"Karma's a b**h. She'll see."
I tried to block out the words of the other students, just focusing on getting back to my dorm room-somewhere I could be alone, cry in peace, Just a little bit further, and I would be safe. "Didn't she sleep with Professor Brooks, too?"
"I thought that was just a rumor. But now, I'm not so sure...
"No wonder.. A human like her could only get ahead like that if they sleep with someone important."
My throat burned to tell them that they were all wrong-that I had never intended to 'rig' the fashion show results. That it wasn't like that; that Edwin had just offered to help because I was in a bind
But at the end of the day, part of me couldn't help but wonder if they were right; perhaps sleeping with Edwin had backfired horribly after all. Perhaps all of my success, all of the nice things he had done for me, had only been because of that one night together.
And now everyone would discover the truth.
Maybe I didn't bg here after all.
As I hurried down the hall toward my dorm, I fumbled in my pocket for my keys. Just a little bit further-I could see my door beckoning to me from here, blissful solitude waiting for me. Blinking away my tears, I located my keys, keeping my head down so as not to attract any more unwanted attention.
But before I could reach my door, a familiar figure stepped into my path.
Linda.
"Well, well,” she sneered, her lips curling upwards into a cruel smile. "If it isn't the dirty little cheater herself."
I skidded to a halt, my hands clenching into fists at my sides as I lifted my gaze to look at her. "You," I spat. "You leaked that photo, didn't you?”
Linda laughed, the sound grating on my already frayed nerves. "Oh, sweetie. You think that I was the one to leak the
picture
I shrugged and folded my arms across my chest. "I can't think of anyone else who would. You've had it out for me since the beginning, Linda."
"I didn't have to do anything, Audrey," Linda cooed, checking her nails. "All I had to do was sit back and watch, and it was karma that got you in the end. This is what happens when a human tries to compete against werewolves.
don't know what you're talking about," I said. I tried to sidestep her, fumbling for the right key to my room as I did. "I won that competition fair and square. "Yeah, well.
you
Suddenly, before I could find my key. Linda reached out and smacked them out of my hand. "Did you, now?" She raised an eyebrow, ignoring my disapproving gasp. "Is that why you're running away with your tail between your legs?"
"Get out of my way, Linda," I growled, trying to push past her.
But Linda was faster and stronger. She grabbed my arm, her grip painfully tight, and shoved me sideways. "Not so fast, little human.
I stumbled, disoriented, and suddenly found myself in another dorm room across the hall. Before I could react, Linda's friends were there, holding me down.
"What are you doing?" I yelled, struggling against their grip. "Let me go!"
"Shut up," one of Linda's friends hissed. "You brought this on yourself."
Linda approached, a pair of scissors glinting in her hand. "Just giving you a little makeover, Audrey. To match your new status on campus."
"Linda, please," I begged, my heart racing. "Don't do this."
But Linda just ignored me, bringing the scissors to my favorite blouse. I struggled against her friends, but my human strength was nothing compared to theirs. Just moving made my shoulders feel like they would pop out of socket.
This is what happens when you try to play with the big bad wolf, Audrey," Linda hissed.
I watched in horror as Linda and her friends began cutting up my clothes, the scissors snipping through the fabric of my blouse and skirt. I screamed and thrashed, but it was no use. They were too strong. "Stop it!" I cried. "Why are you doing this?"
"Because you need to learn your place," Linda snarled as she worked. "Humans like you don't bg here."
"C**k*y little b**h," one of her friends growled.
Over the next few minutes, Linda and her friends destroyed my clothes. Their scissors sliced through the fabric, nicking my skin in some spots but mostly just leaving me exposed. They destroyed everything but my bra and panties, and I was powerless to stop them. All I could do was scream behind the hand that covered my mouth and fight back the tears that were trying to spill down my cheeks.
When they were done, they dragged me back out into the hallway and shoved me into the open. My clothes hung in tatters on my frame, exposing far more skin than I was comfortable with. I tried to cover myself as I knelt on the carpeted floor, but there was little left of my outfit to work with, leaving me clutching my arms across my chest in an attempt to hide my
bra.
"Have a nice day, Audrey," Linda called after me in a sing-song voice, her laughter echoing down the hallway as she and her cronies sauntered away. "Hope you enjoyed your little moment in the spotlight." 1 scrambled to my feet once she was gone, blisteringly aware of the dozens of eyes on me. The hallway, which had previously been a cacophony of words and whispers, had now gone silent. Some people looked away in embarrassment, but others stared openly, their expressions a mix of pity and disgust
"Look at her, someone whispered. "Pathetic."
Mon, Sep
"I can't believe she thought she could get away with cheating in the competition," another added.
"Karma...
I kept my head down, trying to make myself as small as possible as I stumbled toward my dorm. The cool air of the hallway raised goosebumps on my exposed skin, and I hugged myself tightly, trying to maintain some semblance of dignity despite the tears streaking down my face.
"Audrey!" I heard a familiar voice call out. I looked up to see Tina running toward me, followed closely by Avis, Betty, and
Gavin.
"Holy s**," Avis gasped as they reached me. "What happened?"
1
I couldn't even speak. The **s I had been holding back finally spilled out, and I started to wail openly.
"Was it Linda?" Tina asked, her voice tight with anger. When I nodded, she cursed under her breath, her eyes beginning to glow with the fury of her wolf. "I'm going to kill that it**h-
"Not now, Tina," Betty said softly, crowding around me to hide my half-nude form. "Audrey needs us."
Without a word, Gavin shrugged off his jacket and draped it over my shoulders, covering my exposed bra and torn shirt. Then, to my surprise, he scooped me up into his arms. "I've got you," he murmured. "Let's get you back to your room.
As Gavin carried me away, with Tina, Avis, and Betty forming a protective circle around us, I buried my face in his shoulder and let myself cry. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Third Person POV
Charles watched the scene unfold from his position at the end of the hallway. He had been trailing Audrey at Alpha Edwin's request, keeping an eye on her from a distance. He was just watching Gavin carry her into her dorm when his phone buzzed in his pocket.
"Charles, Alpha Edwin's voice came through as soon as he answered. "I need you to get the scoring criteria for the fashion show and contact Claudia. We have a lot of work to do-"
"Alpha Edwin, Charles interrupted, his eyes still fixed on Audrey's retreating form.
"What is it?" Alpha Edwin asked, his tone sharp. "You sound distracted"
Charles hesitated for a moment before speaking, "It's Audrey. I just saw... something happened."
"What?" Alpha Edwin's voice was low, dangerous. "What happened, Charles?"
"That girl... Linda... and her friends," Charles explained, his jaw clenching "They cornered Audrey. Looks like they cut up her clothes. Her friends found her, thankfully, and that Gavin kid is carrying her back to her dorm now. But she's pretty beat
up."
There was a long, tense silence on the other end of the line. When Edwin spoke again, his voice was a low growl that was filled with a cold fury that made even Charles's wolf shiver. "They did what?"
"Edwin, 1-
"Tell me everything." Edwin demanded. "Every detail, Charles"
Charles swallowed hard. "By the time I found her, they had just shoved her out of a room. Her clothes were in tatters. She was exposed. Edwin. Humiliated in front of everyone." Another pause, this one longer and mare ominous. Charles could practically feel the rage radiating through the phone.
"Alpha, what are you going to do?" Charles asked as the door shut behind Audrey and her friends.
But without saying anything, the line went dead. Edwin had hung up without a word.
Charles stared at his phone for a moment, a sense of unease settling in his stomach. He couldn't help but wonder what Alpha Edwin might do to Linda and her friends. Whatever it was, Charles had a feg it wouldn't be pretty.
