Chapter93 Dinner With Alexander
Dinner With Alexander
Ethan had taken a lot of pressure off Pearl's shoulders after he started to work in the hospital.
Naturally, he took most of his time dealing with those VIP female patients. With his charming
appearance, Ethan'd been living a wonderful life in the hospital in just one week. Many nurses send
gifts and food to his office.
Pearl felt as if she'd returned to the time when they were studying abroad. At that time, tons of girls
would wait in line to give gifts to Ethan, most of which were put into her own pocket in the end.
This time, no matter how Ethan showed off what he had received, Pearl was indifferent and kept a
distance from him at work.
In this afternoon, Ethan knocked on the door of Pearl's office. After coming in, he put a cup of milk tea
and some delicate sushi on Pearl's table, saying, "The nurse, Mary, gave them to me."
Pearl glanced at it and said, "Take them away quickly."
"Why? But I can't finish them alone."
"I won't bear the consequences with you like I used to when we were abroad."
Those girls who once crazily pursuing Ethan would always find out that he was s*umbag after some
time. By then, even she couldn't save his bad reputation.
As the old saying goes, "You are the product of your environment". Pearl decided to make plans in
advance this time so as not to make the same mistake again.
"Come on, I really didn't randomly flirt around this time." Ethan popped a piece of sushi into his mouth.
"Then enjoy the sushi yourself." Pearl took off her coat and was about to leave, "I've got something to
do, so I'll leave now."
"Where are you going? It's not time to get off work yet."
"Ocpeace Medical University. The dean and I need to discuss the schedule for class after school
starts."
The new semester would begin in the next month. As a new lecturer, every week Pearl would give at
least eight classes to students.
"Okay, then I'll go with you."
"Oh, you're being annoying."
"I'm free in the afternoon. I'll drive you. Let's go." Ethan said. Then, he took off his white coat and
followed her out of the office.
After leaving the hospital, Ethan drove in the direction of Ocpeace Medical University. A pair of slender
and clean hands were calmly put on the steering wheel.
He said proudly, "After all, I got this car because of you. So I'll take you for a spin experience."
"Experience my a*s. Are you trying to experience a traffic jam?" Pearl rolled her eyes and put her car
keys into her handbag, "I was gonna pick up my children from your parents."
At the mention of Brandon and Bonny, Ethan shook his head. "You won't be able to pick them up in
such a short time. My mother wouldn't allow it."
During this period of time, Brandon and Bonny had been living in the Louise Mansion. Pearl went there
twice, but she hadn't succeed in taking them back. Victoria was just too enthusiastic. Not only that,
Bonny also had no intention of leaving at all.
Pearl was very speechless at this.
Suddenly, Pearl's phone vibrated. After seeing the number, she frowned.
"What's up?" Ethan glanced at the name, "Alexander? Your senior?"
"Yeah." Pearl nodded.
"Why does he want?"
"He asked me out to eat but I refused many times," Pearl gripped her cell phone tightly, saying, "If he
really knows what happened that year, I'm not ready to face the truth yet."
"You will never be ready for such kind of thing." Ethan took her cell phone with one hand. He quickly
typed out some words and sent it out.
"Ah..."
Before she could take back her phone, Alexander'd already replied, "Okay, Pearl. See you in that
Chinese restaurant near school."
What Ethan sent to him was, "I will go back to school to deal with something this afternoon. Shall we
meet therel later?"
"What are you doing?" Pearl glared at him.
Ethan said, "Help you. If you don't ask him directly, how would you know how much he knows? Maybe
he even participated in it."
Pearl frowned deeper, and she was lost in thought as she looked at his message.
They were all once her schoolmates and bestie. She could never imagine that someone would set up
such a big trap in the graduation party.
They soon arrived at the University.
Ethan didn't get out of the car. "I'll find a parking space and wander around for a bit. After you finish
your business, go to that restaurant. I'll pick you up later."
"Okay." Pearl's heart was beating fast as Ethan drove away.
It didn't take much time to arrange the schedule with the Dean.
After arranging the schedule, Pearl came out of the dean's office and glanced at her phone. There was
no message from Ethan. She guessed that Ethan must be flirting with some beautiful women now.
She then went straight to the restaurant where she would meet Alexander.
It was at dusk, and the sun was setting. The sunset glow illuminated the entrance of the University.
The restaurants near the university mostly took the cost of students into consideration. The decoration
style was slightly archaic, and there were many kinds of dishes.
When Pearl was studying here, she had tried all the surrounding restaurants near university. However,
during the past seven years, and the restaurants had changed a lot.
"Pearl, I'm here." She heard Alexander's voice as soon as she entered the restaurant,
Frowning, Pearl walked towards him.
"Have you finished your work this afternoon?" As soon as she sat down, Alexander started to ask her
about the school affairs, "If there are any difficulties, you can ask me for help." As if he was her old
friend or something.
"No." Pearl looked reluctant. As she thought that the accident happened seven years ago may have Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
something to do with Alexander, she couldn't help but feel sick. "Everything is done."
"Then we'll be colleagues next month," Alexander pushed the menu in front of her and said, "Pearl,
what would you like to eat? If you hadn't said that you were in a hurry, I would have treated you on a
better meal."
"You don't have to be so polite." Pearl was really not in the mood to order. So she cut straight to the
point. "Alexander, I wanna ask you something."
As soon as she said that, Alexander's face suddenly turned stiff.
It seemed that even the air was frozen.
Pearl, however, looked at him quietly, waiting for him to answer.
After a long while, Alexander finally spoke, "About seven years ago, isn't it?"
