Chapter 78 Kneel And Apologize
“Let bygones be bygones. Don’t mention it again from now on. By the way, I need you to keep an eye
on this person for me.” Christopher handed Ronan’s photo to Malcolm as he spoke. After glancing at it,
Malcolm quickly replied, “No worries. I’ll instruct my subordinates to do it right away.”
“Don’t take any actions after you’ve located him. He is a dangerous person. Just give me a call,”
Christopher said.
Given the sheer size of Jadeborough, Christopher could hardly deal with the problem by depending on
Wolf Fang alone.
“Understood, Mr. Yaeger.”
The experienced Malcolm could tell that the foreigner wasn’t an ordinary person upon seeing his photo.
But since it was Christopher’s matter, he dared not ask questions or give any comments. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
Amanda led the way as they headed toward Nirvana Residence.
Glancing in the rearview mirror several times, Christopher noticed that someone was following them. It
was no surprise that he could easily sense looming danger. After all, he was given the title “God of
War” for winning numerous battles.
“Malcolm, someone is tailing your car,” he said calmly.
“What?”
Malcolm was a bundle of nerves upon knowing it. He had come without bringing along any
subordinates and was with Christopher now. If something untoward happened to Christopher, Malcolm
would probably be buried alive.
Diane, especially, wouldn’t let him off.
Nevertheless, with his years of experience in the underground circles in Jadeborough, he soon calmed
himself down and said in a low voice, “Let me call my men now.”
“It’s too late!”
Christopher reckoned that the unknown persons would act mercilessly before Malcolm’s men could
come to their rescue. Considering his excellent martial arts skills, he wasn’t afraid of dealing with
Malcolm’s enemies. Even mercenaries would have no chance of hurting him.
However, since Amanda and Erisa were in the car, Christopher was worried they would get hurt when
the fight ensued. After giving it some thought, he quickly called Amanda and instructed, “Ms. Clark,
drive my sister back first. I have something urgent to take care of!”
Not knowing that someone was tailing Christopher, Amanda replied, “Sure. I know what to do.”
Once Christopher hung up the phone, he shouted at Malcolm, “Go that way and find a secluded road.”
Malcolm was bewildered, but he didn’t dwell on it and made a turn as instructed. As he stepped on the
gas, those who were tailing his car got anxious—it was a clear sign that Malcolm had discovered them.
“If I’m not mistaken, the road ahead has been closed for repairs. Hahaha! That means it’s a dead-end,
yet Malcolm isn’t aware of it. He’s doomed.”
The hitmen who were tasked with eliminating Malcolm chuckled in excitement. Apart from the road
closure, they realized Malcolm’s subordinates weren’t around. Hence, they believed he was about to
meet his end.
“Guys, it’s time to show him what we can do.”
Following the trail of Malcolm’s car, they eventually saw Christopher and Malcolm at the front. Since
Christopher was in plain clothes, they thought he was merely Malcolm’s lackey.
“Guys, get down and meet the honorable Mr. Kirk!” The leader laughed out loud.
Instantly, dozens of men hopped out of five black sedans, each holding a sharp knife, and beams of
headlights shone on Malcolm and Christopher.
Malcolm was nervous when he looked up at them. He had no idea why Christopher had chosen to stop
at a dead end.
He said in a quavering voice, “What do you people from Skywind Gale want, Stanford?”
Faced with a life-and-death situation, even Malcolm, a big shot of Golden Peace, couldn’t help but feel
terrified.
Sometimes, a big shot was even more afraid of death than a nobody because he had enjoyed fame
and wealth.
“Hahaha, I bet you never saw this coming, Malcolm! I’ll cut off your head and deliver it to our boss as a
gift. No worries. I’ll personally pay my respect to you the same day next year!” Stanford Pearce
guffawed right after he shouted mockingly at Malcolm.
Overwhelmed with bitterness, Malcolm gazed at Christopher for a while and murmured, “Mr. Yaeger, let
me protect you. Please avenge me after I’m dead.”
Surprisingly, Christopher put on a faint smile and said to the hitmen placidly, “I’m giving you a chance.
Kneel and apologize, and I’ll spare your lives!”
