Chapter 54 Get A Job
“Not bad. That secretary of yours is very capable,” commended Christopher, who couldn’t stop himself
from praising Amanda either.
“I’m glad to hear that. By the way, Mr. Yaeger, I managed the company some time ago, and a few of
our contracts will be expiring soon. Mr. Hubbard would like you to review everything,” informed Diane
softly.
Christopher knew what Dennis was trying to do. He is training me to take over the business and wants
me to get familiar with everything.
“Okay, I will free up some time this evening and drop by Globetrotter Winery,” replied Christopher
politely and softly.
He spent the last five years of his life training and becoming stronger. Now that he was back, he would
do more than just protect Julianna. He wanted to take back what was rightfully his.
Cindy and Frank seemed to be in a good mood when they had lunch that day. They were both
fantasizing about being rich, but they would still take some time to diss Christopher a little. They said
words such as “Why did he enlist in the army?” or “He can’t even get a job now that he has been
discharged.”
They complained because didn’t know how high his military rank was. Similarly, they had no idea that
Christopher never needed to worry about working because he owned Centurion Corporation.
“Dad, Christopher played a huge role in Julianna Corporation getting this contract, and he just got
discharged, so how about we get him to help out in the office?” suggested Julianna quickly.
“No, that won’t do. What would a retired army know about doing business, anyway? Men like him can
only work as bodyguards, and our company hasn’t even been established yet, so we don’t need
bodyguards. The most important bit, however, is that I will be embarrassed if they learn that my son-in-
law is a lowly bodyguard. We are the owner of the company that is in collaboration with Centurion
Corporation, and having a son-in-law like him would make us look bad,” replied Frank right away to
dismiss that idea.
“Your father is right about that, Julianna,” said Cindy hurriedly as well.
“Frank is right, Julianna. Besides, didn’t you say that you can hook me up for another job? I’ll go for an
interview after I finish eating.”
Christopher would much rather go work at a TEM clinic than spend his time at Julianna Corporation.
That was understandable since he wasn’t just a military man. He was also a medical expert.
Hearing that, Julianna had no choice but to nod in agreement because her parents were obviously
against the idea of Christopher being at the office.
At Boleite Medical Clinic.
It was an old TEM clinic in a poor neighborhood where every building and structure was rather old. The
place looked a little beaten up and was in one of the older suburbs. The good news was that it was
rather easy to get there.
When Christopher showed up at Boleite Medical Clinic, he saw a woman in a white medical robe
standing by the entrance. She wasn’t as beautiful as Julianna, but she was tall, and her bosom was
rather huge. The black silk socks also highlighted her long legs, which could seduce anyone. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
Even a married man like Christopher couldn’t help staring a little.
“Are you Christopher?” asked the lady. Distaste grew in her heart when she caught him checking her
out. She thought that a military man would be more righteous, but he turned out to be exactly like all
other men. Ugh, the first thing he does is check out my breasts and legs… However, I will admit that he
is tanned in a good way and rather handsome, though.
She later thought about how Christopher left during his own wedding, and that made her more
unfriendly toward him.
At the end of the day, he is just a dishonorable man with a pretty face who has to count on me to get a
job.
“Yeah, that’s me. You’re Shirley, right? Hi,” greeted Christopher while grinning.
“Yeah, I am Shirley. So here’s the thing. Boleite Medical Clinic has very strict requirements, and every
doctor must either be certified in the related field or have extensive medical skills. Julianna told me that
you know a bit about medicine, but I’m guessing you don’t have a certificate, right?” asked Shirley in an
unpleasant tone.
Christopher was, of course, certified. In fact, he had earned two certificates, one of which was from the
Chanaea TEM Association. Only a handful of experts in the country were granted that certification.
His other certificate was even more impressive than that. The military had granted him that, and it
labeled him as the Medical Genius of Chanaea.
