Chapter 15 She Looks Familiar
Murray was somewhat angry and turned to leave.
As soon as Murray went out, he bumped into Claire. The moment Murray opened and closed the door, Claire saw Melissa lying on the bed.
“Murray, why are you coming out of Melissa’s room now?”
Murray ignored Claire and left.
“Did you stay in her room since last night? What did you do?” Claire asked curiously.
Hearing Claire’s voice, Melissa rubbed her hair irritably. Melissa then got up and went to the bathroom to clean herself up.
Melissa knew herself well. She knew she must have looked awful last night, and Murray actually saw it. Thinking that Murray knew this weakness of hers, Melissa felt disturbed.
Melissa thought, I will be humiliated if he uses this weakness of mine to mock me later.
It is all Susie’s fault. How dare she fool me? I will make her suffer!
Melissa finished washing up and went downstairs to the dining hall. When Murray saw Melissa, he instantly put down his fork and stood up to leave.
Melissa was used to Murray behaving like that, so she ignored him and sat down to eat breakfast.
After what happened last night, Melissa was very tired. She needed to replenish her strength, so she ate a lot of food.
Claire did not dare to question Murray just now. Now that Murray had left, Claire immediately questioned Melissa, “You’ve only been here for a few days and you’re already seducing Murray. Tell me what you and Murray did last night. Why did Murray come out of your room this morning?”
Hearing what Claire said, Sarah questioned Melissa, “Is it true what Claire said? Melissa, what are you trying to do? By the way, where did you go yesterday?”
In the face of these two people’s questions, Melissa sneered in her heart. Melissa smiled mockingly and said, “We are all adults. What do you think we can do in the same room?”
Claire stomped her feet in anger and said, “You are always seducing men. You are shameless!”
Melissa picked up her fork and gracefully took a bite of the food, saying, “Don’t talk nonsense. I am
Murray’s fiancée. Can’t we stay in the same room?”
Claire was rendered speechless by Melissa. Claire put down her fork and turned to walk to her room.
Clenching her fists tightly, Claire felt both jealous and angry.
Claire thought, Murray is such an outstanding man. Why is he willing to marry a girl from the countryside?
Melissa’s not good enough for Murray.
Melissa finished breakfast and was about to go to work when the driver walked up to her and said, “Ms. Eugen, Mr. Gibson ordered me to send you to the company.”
Melissa stopped in her tracks.
Melissa thought, Why did Murray order the driver to take me to the office?
It’s once in a blue moon.
Melissa was about to say something when Sarah coughed. Sarah glared at Melissa and then turned to look at the driver, saying, “Send me to the mall.”
“But Mrs. Gibson, Mr. Gibson asked me to send Ms. Eugen to the company.” The driver said perplexedly.
Melissa did not want to make things difficult for the driver and said with a smile, “Thank you. Just send Mrs. Gibson to the mall. I can go to work by myself.” Melissa hailed a taxi and went straight to the Gibson Corporation.
But halfway there, Melissa saw a stray dog on the road, running around in the traffic. Melissa thought it was dangerous for the dog to do that.
Melissa said, “Sir, please stop the car.” She hurriedly got out of the taxi and planned to bring the dog back
Enoch took in a lot of stray dogs, and Melissa had deep feelings for dogs since childhood.
Melissa walked toward the puppy. Suddenly, a red sports car rushed straight toward the puppy. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
Melissa thought, Oh my god!
The car is going to hit the puppy!
Melissa didn’t have time to think too much. She quickly pounced on the puppy and hugged it tightly in her arms.
Then came the sound of the long brakes. The sports car passed by Melissa. When the car passed by Melissa, a fashionably dressed woman in the driver’s seat poked her head out and shouted, “Are you
crazy? Go away quickly!”
Melissa thought the woman looked a bit familiar.
