Marry My Ex’s Uncle After Rebirth by Agatha Barney

Chapter 208

Fifteen minutes later, a knock sounded at the guestroom door.

Sable opened the door to find a woman standing there, draped in a luxurious fur coat. Her makeup was impeccable, with glossy red lips that seemed to beckon to any man who glanced her way. With a slight raise of her perfectly arched brows, she slowly opened her coat, revealing a sheer black lace ensemble that made her already fair skin look even more luminous, Her figure was voluptuous and undeniably sexy.

The woman’s red–tipped nails grazed the tie of Sable’s bathrobe, teasingly moving down towards his waist. Sable, captivated by the sultry sight before him, pulled her into his arms and pressed her against the wall.

The moment the door closed behind them, she wound her arms around him and leaned in for a kiss.

But Sable suddenly turned his head, and her lips landed of his jawbone instead.

Get out!” he commanded.

The woman was it

infatuated, after all, men of Sable’s caliber were rare. Other than Vincent from Jacaster, Sable was t second man to have such an effect on her.

She moved towards him again, but this time Sable curled his hand around her neck.

Staring into his cold, resolute eyes, the woman clutched at his wrist in terror. “Help…”

With a surge of anger, Sable threw her off “Get out

She scrambled out of the room, frightened beyond her wits.

Sable turned and strode to the table, grabbing a wine glass and pouring the liquid down his throat. Madness! It was sheer madness! As the woman’s lips had pressed towards his, all Sable could think of was Stephanie.

He poured himself another glass of red wine, ready to drink, but then threw the glass fiercely against the wall. At that moment, something in him crystallized

Meanwhile, James was sullenly downing drinks at the bar.

“You should be happy, Sable didn’t sleep with her.” Sam observed his companion, trying to console him.

James gave a bitter laugh. “I wish he had slept with another woman, but he didn’t, which means he’s got another girl on his mind! It must be Stephanie! Why her? She’s ruined his plans over and over again. If this keeps up, how’s he going to get his revenge?”

Sam asked, “So what are you planning to do? Sable told you to stay out of it, right?”

James scoffed. “I won’t make a move, but that doesn’t mean others won’t

His phone vibrated, James answered, “Mr. Fletcher…

After James hung up, Sam’s companion was visibly shocked. “You’ve been working with Mr. Fletcher…”

James hushed him. “Keep it down. It’s our secret. Trust me. Henry won’t let Stephanie disrupt Sable’s plans

“But what if Sable linds out?”

“I’m doing what’s best for him. He’ll thank me later.”

Still concerned, Sam warned, “What if Sable isn’t pleased?

“It’s just a woman, aren’t there plenty of those?” James downs his drink, ‘In this world, I’m the only one who genuinely cares

about him.”

Vincent was still on the mend, and although the Jimenez family missed Stephanie dearly, they didn’t ask her to move back into the Jimenez residence with them.

While driving back, Stephanie briefed Vincent about her encounter with Sable. Despite his gratitude towards Sable for saving Stephanie and later himself, Vincent maintained a guarded stance towards strangers.

While in the hospital in Manville, he had Joseph delve into Sable’s background only to find it spotlessly clean.

Sable was from Muprary, left an orphan after his parents died in a car accident, and was taken into an orphanage. Later on, he was adopted by a childless couple who treated him as their own.

Sable thrived, attending Olbridge University, majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology, and even becoming a visiting professor at Olbridge University.

Beyond academia. Sable had a passion for adventure, traveling to dangerous spots around the globe for thrills.

“Since we’re settled on this, let’s make it Saturday night, Vincent suggested.

Stephanie tightened her grip on the steering wheel, casting a glance toward the man, “You’re not getting jealous, are you?” Vincent chuckled. “Of course not. He saved our lives, I haven’t forgotten that.”

The corners of Stephanie’s lips lifted upwards, “Don’t worry, in this life, the next, and even the one after, I only have love for

“OL”

Vincent’s mood was visibly brightened by her sinile, “Same here

As they arrived home, Vincent’s lips landed on hers. Their breaths mingled, and just when Stephanie was going to ask him to hold back, the rest of her words were swallowed by him.

her overwhelmingly, his hands cradling her face, prying her lips apart, and devouring her breaths.

He whispered hoarsely into her ear, I’ve been starving for a long time.

Stephanie’s eyelashes trembled, and even though she couldn’t see his face clearly in the dark, she felt his scorching breath,

“You’re still not well”

“You move.”

Stephanie was speechless.

fearful she might refuse, Vincent kept seducing her. His fingertips slipped under Stephanie’s sweater, gently caressing the soft flesh around her waist, the warmth of his palms ever so tender. He auzzled her neck with his nose, placing soft kisses along her fair neck, chin, and to her lips, savoring her sweetness, claiming every bit of her beauty.

Before they knew it, they had moved from the entryway to the bed.

Stephanie straddled Vincent’s sturdy abdomen, his hands sliding her white supple wrists onto the metal buckle at his waist. The buckle sprung open. His hands then gripped her slender waist.

“Stephie…

Moonlight poured in, casting a gentle glow over the intimate scene…..

The next morning, dawn was just breaking.

Stephanie opened her eyes to find Vincent still asleep

She traced her fingers over his thick lashes, the bridge of his nose, and his handsome jawline, each feature was what she loved most about him. She kissed his chin and then slipped out of bed to prepare breakfast.

After having her share, she got ready and headed to the institute. She needed to work fast to analyze the virus and develop

an antidote.

When Vincent woke up, the warmth beside him had already faded. He reached for his phone on the nightstand and found a message from Stephanie.

[I’m at the research institute. Breakfast is ready, a pumpkin mush to soothe your stomach.]

[Lunch is pumpkin mush as well, customized with nutrients. The hotel will deliver it.]

[Don’t miss me too much, see you in the evening.]

Vincent’s lips curved into a smirk as he texted back, [Looks like you can still get out of bed today. Didn’t exhaust you!]

Seeing that exclamation point made Stephanie’s face flush a deep red. Scenes from the previous night that were not suitable for the innocent invaded her thoughts.

She looked down at Vincent, who had a reddened look at the corner of his eyes, listening to his husky voice, “Stephie, move

a bit

For some reason, Stephanie felt a wave of mischief, “Call me sister, and I might.” From NôvelDrama.Org.

Vincent wasn’t about to do that, but Stephanie cheerfully continued her tease.

Eventually, Vincent caved and called her sister, much to Stephanie’s delight as she deemed him to have the potential of a handsome young boy. But in the end, it was she who cried out in fatigue.

She sent back a single word, [Gone!], and didn’t bother with Vincent any further, swiftly immersing herself in her research again.

Vincent got up for breakfast, tired of the mushy diet, yet the pumpkin mush that Stephanie made was surprisingly tasty. After breakfast, he couldn’t sit still and went straight to the Fletcher Group. His workload had piled up, and after an early meeting, he began reviewing project files.

Stephanie was deep in her research at the lab when her phone vibrated. It was a call from Julianna

Julia.

“Stephie, you’re playing unfairly, coming back and not even catching up over dinner!”

While circling a notably high value with her pencil, Stephanie puts it aside to briefly catch up with Julianna on recent events.

Julianna was shocked, “Didn’t you say you were going to seek out Mr. Zachmann when you left? How did all of this happen all of a sudden?”

She suddenly lowered her voice, “Stephie, didn’t any of this happen in your past life?”

G

“No.” Stephanie said with certainty. It’s like the butterfly effect, Isuppose. One change leads to a whole series of alterations.”

Julianna sighed. “Stephie, I feel like all these events are revolving around something. There’s this nagging feeling I can’t

shake on.”

Stephanie frowned in thought, “Vincent and I can’t help but feel like pawns in a bigger game. It’s like there’s someone in the shadows, watching our every move, plotting where we’ll land on the chessboard next”

Julianna pondered for a moment, “Sable? how come he just happens to appear at the right times?”
