Love’s Final Reveal

Chapter 115

Ethan was surprised that Jenna seemed supportive of Lola instead of showing interest in the company’s equity.

I don’t have much going on lately. If you need anything, feel free to ask me. I wouldn’t mind being your assistant at the company,” Jenna added,

Ethan became alert. “You want to work at the company?”

“Ethan, don’t get me wrong. Even if I join, I won’t be interested in Layla’s shares.

“How could I do anything behind your backs? I’ve decided to be good and won’t harm Layla anymore.”

Ethan didn’t reply immediately but seemed to understand.

“Layla, what do you think? It’s tough for you alone at the company. With me around to help you, you’ll grow faster.”

Lola couldn’t understand why Ethan and her parents were so wary of Jenna. If it was because of what happened years ago, she felt things had passed, and they were family. There was no need for such reactions.

Despite being the main cause of their broken relationship, Lola hoped everyone could happily live together.

“Ethan, it’s good if Jenna can help me. Let her come along.

Taking the chance, Jenna added, “Ethan, I saved Layla yesterday, risking my life. Doesn’t that prove my sincerity?”

Jenna intentionally brought up Ethan’s misunderstanding about her pushing Lola into the water, hoping his guilt would make it easier to persuade him.

“Since Layla agrees, I won’t say anything more. But let me make it clear. You can join the company but must inform Layla c everything you do. You can’t get involved in anything decisive for the company,” Ethan said.

With guilt lingering in his heart, Ethan reluctantly agreed.

But even so, he remained cautious.

“Alright, Ethan, you don’t need to say it. I understand. I won’t do anything I shouldn’t, Jenna assured him.

Ethan thought he would be by Lola’s side and Jenna wouldn’t have a chance to harm her at the company.

“Then, you’ll go to the company with Layla tomorrow.”

Lola was completely clueless and just started to engage in the company’s projects.

However, with Ethan by her side, she received much–needed assistance.

The next day, Lola made decisions on the projects. She looked at the thickest folder on top and sighed softly.

She thought this was indeed exhausting work.

As Lola flipped through the folder, the name of the collaborating company caught her eye.

“The Leroy Group?

Lola thought about this familiar name for a while, suddenly recalling something, and then she had a strange look.

She thought it was Dominick’s company.

She wondered if he was still there. But why hadn’t he shown up for so long?

He used to appear sometimes, mostly when she needed help.

Lola felt conflicted about this handsome and capable guy who treated her well.

She feared enjoying the benefits Dominick provided without giving him anything.

Yet, if Dominick never appeared again, she wouldn’t feel relaxed

She thought that since the Lewis Group was collaborating with the Leroy Group, it meant she would soon see Dominick.

Their identity now was different. She wondered what their next meeting would be, and Lola surely had no idea.

The Leroy Group’s project proposal?”

Jenna walked into the office somehow, filled with resentment at the sight of the group’s name on the document.

“Isn’t this Dominick’s company? He is actually keen to collaborate with our company. He is two– faced, ruthless, and extremely cruel!”

Jenna became a bit agitated. “Layla, don’t be fooled by his charming appearance. Actually, he is despicablet, NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

“Have you forgotten that he’s the one who caused the injuries on my body? These scars will never fade away! If he lays a hand on me today, he’s likely to do the same to you tomorrow, you know?

“Don’t get involved with such a man! You’re so pure. He could easily deceive you. I’m worried!”

Jenna seemed to be considering everything for Lola’s sake, her anger so intense that she seemed ready to tear Dominick

apart!

Lola looked at Jenna’s expression. She felt such a look didn’t seem fake.

“Jenna, I know. I’ll think about it again. After all, I don’t have the power to decide yet.”

Jenna guessed Lola was going to ask Ethan. She felt uncertain, and she couldn’t figure out what Ethan thought of Dominick right now.

“Layla, Ethan is busy today. Let’s not bother him with this minor issue. I just glanced at the project. It’s mediocre. It might bring great profits to the Leroy Group, but it’s like being a tag along with minimal profit for us.

“Dominick is such a bad man, so I think we shouldn’t consider this project. Just reject it?

Lola could tell Jenna really disliked Dominick. But she also glanced at the project. The contract clearly stated significant benefits for the company.

Compared to previous collaborations, it was simply remarkable.

Lola decided to reconsider, as she had to be responsible for the company.

Jenna, I know you have my best interests at heart. I’ll think about it carefully.”

Lola still hesitated, and Jenna had a weird expression. She smiled awkwardly, “Layla, you’re so considerate. In that case, take your time to think it through.”

Lola nodded slightly, not saying anything more.

Jenna didn’t mention anything else. Just turned and left the office.

As soon as she stepped out, the phone rang.

Glancing at the screen and around to make sure no one was there, Jenna walked out to answer it.

Jenita walked into the hallway before answering the call.

“Hello?*

“How’s everything going? An elderly man’s voice came through the phone.

“Grandpa, I’ve successfully infiltrated the Lewis Group.”

“Oh? Good job. As long as you’re in, that’s what matters. Have you seen the Leroy Group’s project proposal yet?”

Patrick snorted, “Humph, last time Dominick caused quite a stir to protect Lola’s reputation, and it significantly impacted the company.

“This collaboration is crucial for the Leroy Group. This is the first step if we want to bring Dominick down!”

Jenna looked merciless. “I know, but that stubborn Lola just won’t listen to me. And I can’t be too obvious about it! I’m at my wit’s end!”
