Let's Start All Over Again, Shall We (Maggie and Nathaniel)

Chapter 344

Chapter 344 Let’s Talk

The knife came at Ethan from a tricky angle, aiming straight for his stomach. Maggie, catching sight of this, felt her heart skip a beat.

But Ethan wasn’t someone to mess with. He must have known something about Draco and was prepared. He grabbed Draco’s wrist firmly, countering him and leaving the knife hanging right in front of Draco’s

eyes.

“Ethan please, don’t!” Draco immediately backed down.

But Ethan wasn’t the type to go easy. He swiftly drew some blood from

And in that instant, all the other fights in the room stopped.

Even though Ethan didn’t bring many guys with him, it was obvious they were in a different league compared to Draco’s crew,

Meanwhile, Nolan was casually stepping on someone’s face, his arms crossed, as if he hadn’t just been in a brawl but was watching a show.

“Ah!” Draco looked at his hand pierced through, his face as pale as a sheet, with sweat beads trickling down his forehead. He was shaking all over.

Maggie watched, feeling a bit dazed, until she felt warmth in her palm, prompting her to look away.

Tm okay. Maggie said softly.

The scene is pretty brutal, but I’ve seen it all before. What is there to be scared of?

As Draco’s cries died down, the room fell into silence. Ethan wasn’t exactly soft–hearted, but he knew when

to stop.

After just a short while, Draco had lost quite a bit of blood, but luckily, none of the wounds were life- threatening

“Mr. Harris I’m sorry! I was totally out of line! I had no idea Ms. Atlam was under your protection. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have dared to touch her, even if you paid me!” Draco knelt, inching closer to Nathael.

Nathael’s expression remained cool and composed. “Looks like you’re ready to have a chat now.”

Draco nodded frantically. “Yeah! We can talk about anything. I’ll do whatever you say! I’m willing to make it up to you. Please give me another chance!”

Draco was genuinely desperate. He’d heard about Nathael’s reputation, but it was all hearsay.

His knowledge of Nathael was far less than what he knew about Ethan. But after this incident, all those rumours and past conversations rushed back to him like a flood.

He knew if he didn’t come up with a solution, he might not just lose his footing in Aquapolis, but he could lose his life too.

The seventh young master of the Harris family didn’t need to say much, just a hint from him, and countless people would rush to do his bidding, all to earn his favour.

“Ms. Adam, I messed up big time! I’m truly sorry!” Draco spoke, slapping himself repeatedly.

Maggie got closer, noticing he wasn’t holding back at all.

Maggie couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, understanding how Draco managed to stay at the top.

He was adaptable and ruthless, not just to himself but to others too. Seeing how he tried to stab Ethan carlier, it was clear he was crafty and good at seizing opportunities.

If it hadn’t been for Nathael he was up against, he might have had a shot at turning things around.

“Well, I don’t hold any grudges against you. I’m just here to ask, who’s this enemy of mine, and how did I manage to tick them off?” Maggie smiled as she spoke.

At this point. Draco dared not look at her much, feeling her stunning face was like a beautiful but deadly flower.

Draco didn’t hold back anymore, his hatred for Ivan growing. I’m not sure who the mastermind is, but the one who approached me was Ivan.”

Hearing this familiar yet unfamiliar name, Maggie was briefly dazed before letting out a bitter laugh.

Nathael’s eyes darkened as if recalling something. “Ivan?”

“Yeah, it’s Ivan! He’s a pretty famous pianist, bagged quite a few awards, and everyone in our circle knows him. You know how we rough guys tend to look up to those artsy types a bit more? When he’s willing to drop his guard and hang out with us, we can’t help but give him some respect…

Draco was speaking the truth. He had known Ivan for several years. It all started when he saw Ivan getting hassled at a bar where he was invited to play the piano.

It was his place, and causing a scene there would’ve been a slap in the face to him.

Besides, it’s true what he said. Despite being a bit rough around the edges, he couldn’t help but have some respect for those cultured and talented folks. Naturally, he felt inclined to lend a hand.

Ivan reciprocated the gesture, and as time went by, they got to know each other quite well.

Whenever there was an event, he’d sent Ivan an invite to perform, giving him a chance to rub shoulders with the upper crust.

As for Draco, he helped Ivan out with a fair share of behind–the–scenes messes, getting his hands dirty with some dirty tasks.

Sure, there was a fee involved, but that’s just the way things were.

But over the years, they had developed a sort of camaraderie.

So when Ivan came to him this time, he didn’t hesitate. He did a quick background check and figured out that this woman had some connection to the Camerons, which made things a bit tricky.

But Ivan assured him that the Camerons wouldn’t step in for her, so he realised it was probably some internal power play among the elite.

bloodline? Plus, the Camerons weren’t as formidable as they used to be.

Ivan offered him a nice chunk of reward, so Draco saw no reason to turn it down. He agreed right away.

But he had his suspicions, so he held back a good chunk of the money and slipped some to Tony under

the table.

Tony wasn’t exactly his right–hand man, and he wasn’t the most devoted either. But sometimes you need someone like him to handle certain things. Money talks and Draco was fine with keeping these kinds of people around as long as they got the job done.

But little did he know, this time he’d hit a snag. That incompetent Tony brought them to him!

Thinking about it, Draco was cursing Ivan up and down. He never thought Maggie would turn out to be Nathael’s woman.

If he’d known sooner, he wouldn’t have dared to entertain such thoughts no matter how brave he was.

Maggie lowered her gaze and said softly, ‘Ivan was the piano–teacher hired by the Camerons for Sierra and me. But under the orders of Sierra and Olivia, they spread rumours that I had no talent in playing the piano and refused to teach me.”

Upon hearing this, Nathael’s gaze grew even colder. He remembered it.

When he was sent for training by his grandfather, he wasn’t around Aquapolis very often, so he tended to be a bit behind on the news.

Looking back, he wouldn’t have paid attention in such detail, but this particular matter stood out in his

memory.

If it hadn’t been for Leo later pleading with Kevin Dunphy on her behalf, she might have lived to regret it for the rest of her days.
