Chapter 116 Let bygones be bygones.

Chapter 116 Let bygones be bygones.

Outside the Tingyu manor, Nathan Luo got off the car and saw a woman walking across the road.

"Mr. Luo, did you come for Ethan?" May Ning walked towards him with a backpack slung on her arms and a pleasant smile on her pure and delicate face.

"Miss. Ning, good morning. You came to visit Mr. Mo, too?"Nathan responded with a smile.

"Well, Ethan said he found a college for me. I came to get some documents." As May said, she rang the doorbell.

The door guard who saw her and opened the door to her politely and enthusiastically.

"Ethan is not in Tingyu manor now, but would you like to come in first?" May looked back at Nathan and said.

"That would be great." Normally, Nathan would never go into the house whose owner was not there, but today, he just stepped in so calmly.

"Sir, do you have an appointment?" But the door guard stopped him as soon as he walked in.

"No, but Miss. Ning just invited me." Nathan smiled.

The guard looked at May and was hesitating whether he should let Nathan in, while May came over to explain.

"It’s fine. Let him in. I will explain to Ethan."

Then Jason followed Nathan in. May looked at the back of them and went in as well. While introducing the scenery of Tingyu manor to Nathan, she smiled and said.

"Do you know that this place was named by Belle?"

"Whoa, I don’t know that at all." Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

"This place was originally called Royal Garden, but Belle thought the name was too rigid, so she changed it to Tingyu manor." May followed Nathan obediently, raising her face to look at him. "Mr. Luo, do you know where Belle is now?"

"Have you never seen her?"

Nathan asked back, while May shook her head and gave a bitter smile.

"I think she probably wouldn't want to see me. Actually, what happened five years ago... I really don't blame her at all. If you see Belle someday, please tell her that no matter what happens, she is still my best friend."

"Unfortunately, I didn't see her either." Nathan sighed slightly and calmly looked at the surrounding environment. Jason who followed behind him, noted the terrain as he walked.

The three of them walked from the front to the back of the courtyard.

"Since Mr. Mo hasn't come back yet, I guess I’ll have to visit again next time."Nathan looked down at his watch and said.

May nodded and took them back the same way.

Outside the door of Tingyu manor, Nathan looked back at the door and waved goodbye to May.

"Sir, why..."

"We should come back later. There are a lot of securities here. I don't want them to be alarmed." Nathan interrupted him.

"Will Miss be in there, sir?"

"We will see." Nathan motioned to the driver to drive, looking out the window. "Let people stare at that May. If they had any news, come back and report to me.”

...

In Tingyu manor, May walked around after sending away Nathan. She was no stranger to this place because she used to follow Belle here in the past. Unexpectedly, after so many years, Tingyu manor looked still the same. She strolled for a while and stopped a maid to ask.

"Is Chen here?"

"Chen is in the back yard, Miss. Ning. Do you want me to call her over?" The maid nodded.

"No, Chen and I are familiar with each other. I can go to her." May thanked her politely and walked back with her hands on her back. She hummed a little tune in her mouth, walked briskly, and soon saw Chen Jia in the back yard.

When Chen saw her, the hands holding dishes paused while May walked to her and looked at the meal curiously

"Chen, haven't you eaten breakfast yet?"

"Miss. Ning, what brings you here?" Chen calmed her mind and hurriedly put down the food to wipe her hands on the apron. "Miss. Ning, let's go to the living room. You haven't been here for a long time, Mr. Mo told us to keep all your things and give them back to you when you come."

"Thank you and Ethan." May’s eyes moved slightly and then fell on the food."Chen, the dishes are getting cold. You can eat first before I come to chat with you."

"Okay, okay..." Chen held up the plates in a daze.

At this moment, in the room behind May, Belle Ye walked out with her cane slowly one step by another. She lowered her head and did not find May in front.

"Chen, I’m not hungry. Please put the food down. I want to take a walk..." She said halfway through and the hoarse voice of her stopped abruptly, which followed by the sound of falling cane.

Belle stared at the pretty figure stumbling in front of her eyes that suddenly shrank.

"Be...Belle!" May turned her head when she heard the voice, and just in time, she saw Belle Ye who was startled at the same place. May stretched her arms excitedly and hugged her. "Belle, was it really you? Oh, my god...I miss you so much..."

"Uh...cough... May, would you let go of your hands first?" She was hugged to breathless by May.

May took a step back awkwardly with her deer-like eyes flushed.

"Belle, when did you come back?"

"Let’s talk inside, May." While though Belle Ye felt her heart trembling like her body, she tried to calm herself down a little.

May followed her into the room was spacious and bright with the white curtains blocked the heat outside.

"Belle, what happened to your legs?" May looked at her nervously with a concerned face, trying to help her but dare not to touch her.

As innocent, simple, and understanding as ever.

Belle Ye's gaze fell on her. There were countless mysteries and questions in her heart that needed answers from May, but when the moment came, she could not even open her mouth. After they stared

at each other, Belle took a sip of water handed from Chen.

"May, I..."

"Belle, let bygones be bygones, okay?" May walked to Belle’s bed and held her hand with tears pattering down and falling on the back of Belle's hand. "It’s all my fault... I am so sorry Belle……"

Belle Ye did not speak a word.

Should not it be her the one needed to apologize?

Belle looked up at the girl who was crying so hard that she could not even speak a word.

Such a kind and innocent girl like May Ning...she deserved the love of Ethan Mo.

"I should be the one saying sorry. You don’t own me an apology, May." She gently pushed away May's hand,

"Belle, all those years...Look at you...did I do this to you?" May checked on Belle, and when she saw the gauze on Belle’s arm, her voice choked.

"No, May. It’s not your fault."

"It must have been a hard time for you, Belle..."

"It's okay..." Belle asked May to sit down." Thank God, you woke up."

"Yeah, but I don't know what happened, and I have been looking for you since I woke up, but no one told me where you are, not even Ethan. I was afraid that he would be angry if I kept asking him. Oh, I would have come to you a long time ago if I knew You were here.”
