ASKING DATE
From Zachary’s seat, he freely observed Samarra. She has always been silent while reading and taking notes. He could not help but feel ashamed because Samarra was so busy. He is sitting and doing nothing. He only felt self-deprecating now. He would not have believed she worked for his father’s business.
Moreover, he could not help but wonder why Samarra was given a higher rank. She was still in school. Is Samarra that skilled at delegating responsibility?
He sighed and grabbed a magazine to entertain himself. He was reading in the sports section of the newspaper. That was his reaction to what he saw. He could not be mistaken. It resembles Samarra in terms of hair, posture, and body shape.
Nevertheless, concealed by oversized sunglasses and a black bull cap. However, Zachary strongly suspected that Samarra was the woman in the photograph. He glanced at the magazine and the woman seated in front of him multiple times.
Damn! He strongly suspects Samarra and the racing queen are the same people.
Earlier, Samarra observed Zachary staring directly at her behavior and the magazine he was carrying.
What’s wrong with him? She heaved a sigh before continuing her work. When Samarra experienced a shoulder shrug, she had and pressed it. She closed her eyes and massaged the area with gentle pressure and emphasis.
“What?” Samarra was forced to ask when she observed Zachary fidgeting in his seat. He repeatedly looked at her as though he wanted to speak.
“Hmm, at least you remembered to speak.”
Samarra smiled as she stood and walked closer to Zachary. She sat beside him. She was correct; he would be eager to be with her. She didn’t understand why he wanted to accompany her.
“After my meeting. Let’s go out,” Samarra said when she sat beside Zachary, their eyes immediately met. She observed his expression of astonishment. It was hard to believe what she said.
“Oh, my wife has requested a date. Hmm.”
When Zachary kisses her on the forehead, she closes her eyes. She smiled.
Date? He wouldn’t think it would date what she meant. Her smile gradually faded.
OMG! It was her first time.
“If you think it’s a date, it’s a date.”
She agrees and immediately hugs Zachary’s body. Zachary appeared to have stiffened. When Samarra was about to remove her arms because she was embarrassed, Zachary hugged her tighter and kissed her head.
“Let’s stay for a while.”
She smiled and rested her chin on Zachary’s chest. She has grown accustomed to Zachary in recent days and months. Whether she admits it or not, she gets a little excited when they get this close to Zachary.
“Miel, have you-”
As she heard, she and Zachary both turned toward the door where Ezekiel stood. Before casting a spell, Ezekiel blinked a few times, making it appear unbelievable. Samarra was about to stand up quickly, but Zachary grabbed her waist to assist her. They stood together and faced Ezekiel.
“Oh, Bro! What’s up?” As Ezekiel approached Zachary, he said, Ezekiel shifted his gaze to them and Zachary’s hand on her waist.
“I’m good. Bro.”
Ezekiel nodded and approached them. Samarra’s expression is unaffected by his gaze.
“I’m glad you thought of coming here.”
“Nah, I went with Ara, and we’ll leave after her meeting. We’ve set a date.”
Ezekiel nodded and turned to face Samarra, who was bowing.
“Have you read the yellow folder, Miel?”
Samarra immediately nodded in response to Ezekiel’s question. It is about the company’s sales.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
“I finished already.”
“Alright, let’s go.”
Ezekiel walks ahead of them out of her office. Samarra only moved when Ezekiel existed. She immediately let go of Zachary’s grip on her waist. She sat down at the table and pressed the intercom.
“Jameson, come here.”
In less than a minute, Jameson entered, carrying folders.
“Lady Summer, I’ve prepared everything, and Sir Ezekiel has instructed us to proceed to the conference room.” Samarra nodded before turning to face Zachary.
“Come with us.”
Samarra’s words shook Zachary to his core. He felt anxious because he was attending his first board meeting. This gathering was foreign to him. Because he never participated in or interfered with the operation of the company from the start.
“Cadden.”
As Samarra tapped Zachary on the shoulder, he shook his head. He was hesitant to smile. He didn’t want to come because he wasn’t present at the meeting.
“It’s fine. I’ll stay right here. If you are concerned-”
“I am not concerned about you. I’d like you to attend the meeting. Listen, and I want you to know what’s happening in your family’s business.”
When Samarra drew Zachary out of her office, he only sighed. Samarra was aware of his trembling hand. Zachary couldn’t understand why Samarra had to take him with her. He can wait in her office. Furthermore, he may become bored.
“Are you nervous?”
Samarra must have noticed his cold hand. He also noticed that she had tightened her grip on him. He looked up and smiled slightly.
“I’m no-”
What he was about to say was cut short when Samarra stopped walking and moved in front of him. When Samarra suddenly hugged him on the waist, his body stiffened.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m not sure if it helps you feel better.”
He returned Samarra’s hug and smiled. They were in that order when someone spoke in the background.
“Ms. O’Harra?” Someone’s ejaculation seemed unbelievable.
“Oh, Mr. Ventura.”
When Samarra’s face became serious, and she grabbed Zachary’s hand, he looked up. He switched his gaze between Xander Ventura and Samarra.
What the hell? What’s going on? He is not a moron. He could tell Xander liked his wife by looking at her. He recognized Xander because he was a friend of his older brother Zeke. And Xander’s father, Alex Ventura, was their wine supplier.
“You’re with Zachary?” Xander enquired.
“Yeah, I’m with my husband.” Samarra hugged Zachary.
“You with what?” Xander’s face was shocked, and he couldn’t believe what Samarra had said.
Samarra looked up, took Zachary’s hand in hers, and raised it to show off their wedding ring.
“We were married. Mr. Ventura.”
Samarra smiled before turning away from Xander, who was speechless. Zachary ignored it, despite his desire to beat Xander. And he had no idea, but his heart was overjoyed because Samarra had not denied him.
That makes him happy. Samarra
was overjoyed and proudly introduced him to everyone.
Everyone stopped as soon as they entered; even Daddy Calvin could not believe he was in the conference room with Samarra.
“Son.” Despite being surprised, Daddy Calvin regained his composure as soon as he and Samarra approached. He immediately waved, and Samarra hugged his father before they sat on the side with the other company board members.
“Dad, he’s with me. Cadden and I will leave after this; we have a date.” Daddy Calvin smiled and nodded at them as an indication of his willingness.
A few more minutes passed before the meeting began; Samarra believed they were the only ones waiting. As it turns out, Ezekiel will be captured. Upon entering, Ezekiel sat directly opposite her chair. She thought Ezekiel was in a bad mood. She was unaware of the underlying cause.
