Chapter 54 Payment Time

"What's there to be proud of?" Emilia was so jealous that her eyes had that lunatic sheen to it. "Mr.

Limbaugh gave me a brooch that is worn on the left side of the chest near the heart. What he gave you

is just a piece of clothing that can be discarded any time."

"Since it's not that important, why are you so angry?" Margaret smiled.

Emilia felt herself losing control of her temper, but it was eminent that she had her pride protected. "I'm

just angry that Mr. Limbaugh was deceived by a b*tch like you."

"Then you should be even angrier that I have the power to deceive him, but you don't." Margaret said

as she flipped her long hair as a show of victory in the argument.

"You-" Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Charleston stood at the side, smiling to himself as he watched the two women in their heated debate.

He found that he liked his little one jealous.

"Mr. Limbaugh, just look at her. You should teach her a lesson!" Emilia had no choice but to seek

Charleston's help.

Charleston stood up and then walked over to Margaret.

He held her fist and kissed it tenderly.

"Only she can teach me a lesson!"

Emilia widened her eyes in shock.

She did not expect Margaret to have such a dominant influence on Charleston to have made him say

that.

As like everyone else, Emilia did not believe that Charleston sincerely wanted to be with Margaret.

After all, the disparity gap between the two's status was as wide as the sky and the ocean. It was

evident that these words were only used by Mr. Limbaugh and his mistress to flirt with each other, and

thus, should not be taken seriously.

However, it was enough to make others jealous!

Charleston was just too fine, and too wealthy of a man. He was handsome, influential, and was just

overall a better sight for sore eyes compared to the other rich and powerful men who were balding and

sported a beer belly.

Charleston was even fluent in the language of pampering and pleasing his woman.

However, what Emilia was not aware of was that all these great, romantic qualities of Charleston were

only for Margaret.

He couldn't be bothered with showing this side of him to anybody else!

"I don't like the dress!" Margaret remarked.

In truth, she liked it very much. However, if she was forced to wear a dress she liked to a dance she did

not like...

Then, she had no choice but to start disliking it.

"Why?"

"I feel like the dress has been stained by having a certain someone be present in the same room as it

is in."

"Let's get her out of here, then." It wasn't rocket science to figure out that Emilia was the person

Margaret was referring to.

Emilia too gathered that Margaret was talking about her. She was afraid that Charleston would really

listen to this b*tch's words and have her chased out. "Mr. Limbaugh..." She said.

Margaret suddenly pointed her finger at Emilia and exclaimed, "I'm talking about her!"

"Yes..." Charleston nodded.

Margaret raised her eyebrows and questioned him, "Don't you like her? Are you sure you're willing to

chase her out?"

After all, hadn't he just bought Emilia an expensive brooch?

"Where on earth did you get that idea from? Come here. Let me kiss the stain away!" Charleston said

as he curled his lips and leaned in, ready to take advantage of her.

"Screw off." Margaret stopped his advances with a hand firmly pressed against his chest.

Charleston took Margaret into his arms and looked at Emilia. His expression suddenly turned cold and

distant as he said, "Aren't you leaving? Do you need me to get security to 'escort' you out?"

Charleston's indifferent eyes made Emilia tremble in fear.

She was sure Mr. Limbaugh loved her first. He even gave her a brooch. This was all Margaret's fault.

That b*tch had deceived him and got Emilia chased out.

Emilia felt a chill run down her spine and her legs growing weak beneath her as Charleston continued

staring at her coldly. She had no choice but to head outside.

"Forget it," Emilia thought to herself. She had lost the chance to become Charleston's lover, but at least

she still had the brooch.

The brooch was also worth a lot of money.

Just as Emilia stepped out of the private room, the staff working at the auction came up to her.

"Good evening, Miss Emilia. Now, the two million dollars for the brooch!"
