Chapter 13: File A Case
Chapter 13: File A Case
Today, Kiro's doctor came to the mansion for his personal check-up. The five of us gathered in the study room: Madam, Miss Linda, the doctor, Kiro, and myself. We were all eager to see how Kiro's examination would go. Madam decided to keep Joday and Doday in the maid's quarter because they were not yet aware of Sir's condition. We didn't want to alarm them unnecessarily. The doctor began the check-up, and we waited anxiously for the results. He shared some good news with a smile on his face. The young man's sexual hormones were back to normal. We all breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that Kiro was recovering well. But the doctor's next announcement brought even more joy to our hearts. "Kiro, you can now move freely within your room and even take walks around the mansion," he said, his eyes fixed on Kiro. "However, for now, it's best to avoid crowded public places while we continue to monitor your progress." Kiro responded with a smile and turned to Madam. She embraced him tightly, tears of happiness streaming down her face. Lady Linda joined in the celebration, expressing her joy for her son. "My dear son! I'm so happy for you!" she exclaimed. I couldn't help but smile as I watched Madam, Miss Linda, and my dear friend. Yes, Sir Kiro— I mean Kiro— had given me permission to consider him my friend. – I went into his room to deliver his lunch. He usually sat on the couch next to his bed, so I placed the food there right away. He seemed sad and lost in thought. "Kiro," I called out to get his attention, but he didn't respond and remained in a daze. "Kiro, hey..." I said his name again, and this time he turned towards me. "What is it, Lyk?" he asked. He used to call me ‘Lyk’ during our study sessions. I don't know why, but I like the nickname he gave me. "What's on your mind?" I asked. He looked at me with a shocked expression. I smiled and said, "I can tell something's bothering you. What's the matter? Remember, problems are just problems, and we're all human beings who undoubtedly have problems..." I added a weak
laugh. It was meant to be a joke, but it didn't really come across as funny. I saw him smile, but I wasn't easily fooled. I can tell a genuine smile from a fake one. He quickly returned to his deep thoughts, and it became clear to me that he had a serious problem. What's going on with him today? He should be happy about the news the doctor shared earlier, but his expression and reaction are completely opposite. "Hey, Kiro, are you sure you're okay? You don't look okay to me," I continued to express my concern. "I don't know. But what I do know is that I need to ask for your forgiveness... Lyka, I'm truly sorry for what I’ve done to you during our first encounter... I'm so sorry— No, damn it!" he blurted out. "...It's not enough to just apologize. Press charges against me, Lyka," he said, leaving me speechless. The idea had crossed my mind before—to file a case against him—but I couldn't bring myself to follow through with it. I sat down next to him on the couch. "What are you saying, Kiro?" I brushed off his words, but I knew what he was referring to and wanted to discuss. "Damn it. Press charges against me, file a case, Lyka! That night, I didn't realize what I was capable of doing to a woman... to women... I was addicted to it, and now that I'm recovering, I deeply regret it..." "Fuck! I can still hear it. Your cries of pain, your pleas for mercy... I remember your tears that night... You begged and pleaded, but I pretended not to hear... Shit! I really didn't know... I was so addicted into it that time," I was shocked to see tears streaming down the young man's face. What's happening to him? The doctor mentioned good news earlier, but now he's here, crying. I couldn't control my own welling tears either. Whether I wanted to admit it or not, I knew deep down that I was traumatized by that incident. There was a part of me that wanted to seek revenge and hurt him, but in the end, I didn't. "I feel extremely guilty, Lyka... I'm not that kind of person when I'm in my normal state… Damn! Press charges against me, Lyka, so I can be held accountable for what I did to you... and the others..." He wept. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
He pleaded with me, crying and begging me to file a case against him. He was on his knees, but I immediately stopped him. Tears streamed down my face as I looked at his face. "File a case, Lyka... Please, go ahead," he said, but I shook my head and embraced him tightly to calm him down. I never knew men could cry so intensely. "I-I forgave you a long time ago, Kiro... Who am I to hold onto anger? If you believe you made a mistake, I truly forgave you a long time ago... It's not your fault... It wasn't you who violated me, it was your illness," I explained to him. He continued to plead and begged me to file a case against him. His words were repetitive, always filled with apologies and the mention of a ‘case’. I felt sorry for him. He didn't want any of those things to happen, and I didn't either. But I could find it in my heart to forget and forgive him for what he did. Perhaps he's only realizing the full extent of everything now as he slowly heals. He looked vulnerable, like a wounded bird, constantly apologizing. I simply smiled back at him. After a few hours of comforting him with my words, he fell asleep. I carefully settled him into his bed and left him alone in his room. I knew that when he woke up, he would likely be reflecting on those incidents again. He might be thinking about everything he did back then. I sighed and made my way to the restroom in the left wing to wash my face, hoping to hide the evidence of my swollen eyes. I wished for everything to turn out well. But, as we know, not all of our wishes come true.
