Chapter 31 You Are My Cure
Chapter 31 You Are My Cure
Julian’s eyes flickered slightly, and under his deep, dark eyes, there was an ominous aura coming from
him. “Which answer do you want to hear from me?”
She suddenly mentioned this topic, and there is a high chance that it was because she was simulated
by the incident that happened earlier today.
The doctor said she cannot be simulated, whether it’s on a physical or mental level, it's best not to
stimulate her to remember what happened before.
Sadie did not answer back. She broke away from his arms, turned and got out of bed. Then, she picked
up the minced pork congee with preserved egg on the tray and ate it while sitting at the side.
Since she had not eaten both lunch and dinner, the soft and sticky porridge was the best option of her.
After eating half of it, she looked up and saw that Julian has been looking at herself, with a thoughtful
expression on his face, and then he quickly withdrew his gaze.
After a while, she realized that he was still looking at her so she frowned and said it a heavy tone. “Do I
have to continue living there?” Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Yes, is there a problem?” Julian leaned lazily against the bed; his eyes slightly narrowed.
Her acting skills were really not great, but he knew that in time she will become a different person.
Sadie shook her head, and unexpectedly said. “Isn't it true that as long as the matter concerns me, you
will definitely help.”
Julian scrutinized her, his gaze playfully took in the panic she could not hide in time, his tongue curled
up and gently topped his upper jaw, saying, “Yes, and I also want to have complete control of your
future.”
“And the reason is?” Sadie looked at him with a calm expression. “Don't tell me that you like me
because of my looks, this reason is not good enough.”
She sat there; her body leaning slightly to the left with her hands casually folded on her lap. Her palms
clenched into fists, seeping with sweat, the back of the nightgown she wore was even getting colder
and wet.
When Julian was serious, he had the steadiness corresponding to his age, and adding on with the
aggressiveness that he was born with, the aura around him very compelling.
She had never had contact with a successful person before. So, when facing him, the pressure she felt
was so great that she had a hard time breathing.
However, she could not back down now, she had to stay by his side and find out why he married her.
She also wanted to give Haris a bad time with the help of his power.
“You are my cure.” Julian then close his legs, and calmly got up to leave. “Go take a shower and go to
bed earlier.”
Sadie sat still until she heard the sound of the door closing. Then, she finally rested her shoulders, as if
her soul was sucked out, and she choked out a voice.
At first, it sounded as a kitten-like whimper, and later, the crying gradually got louder, the sound even
could be heard through a door.
Julian walked out from the study room and stop to stand outside of the master bedroom for a while,
then he lightened his footsteps and left.
As she still did not trust him, it was not appropriate to go in at that time.
Picking up the phone that was left on the desk, he walked to the window and went on to finish his
sentence. “You need to go to the orphanage, I suspect she saw some information that she shouldn't
have seen, do not leave any clue behind.”
The other party did not know what to say, he pursed his lips and ended the call.
Sadie cried for a long time. After that, she leaned against the chair and slept, probably tired from crying
so much.
Julian carried her onto the bed, his chest felt like being clogged by a bunch of cotton, unable to swallow
in it or cough it out. She originally did not need to bear these pains.
Sadie was not able to sleep soundly, her dreams were everywhere.
“Do you want a drink, let me pour some for you.”
She opened her eyes and looked at the cup filled with liquid in front of her, then picked it up and took a
sip.
“Is it sweet?” The man poured for her again, “Later, I will bring you to buy some toys, okay?”
“No!” Sadie woke up frighten, then fell into a warm embrace, hearing whispers sounded both familiar
and unfamiliar at the same time in her ears. “Don't be afraid, it's all in the past.”
Her eyes widen, and she was in a trance, as she remembered that someone had told her the same
thing before, and her head began to feel pain.
Who was he…?
Probably because she was struggling too much, Julian quickly sat up and opened the light as he felt
that something was wrong. "Sadie?"
Sadie blankly looked at him, then her eyes gradually closed.
Julian frowned and quickly got up to call Doctor Darius.
When he went to pick her up and returned, he was already worried that something might happen to her,
so he had Doctor Darius to spend the night over here.
“There is a high chance that she was simulated too much and passed out.” Doctor Darius briefly
checked in on her and said, “You'd better send her to the hospital, I suspect that the congestion in her
brain has dispersed.”
After hearing that, Julian immediately carried Sadie up from the bed and ran downstairs quickly.
He finally found her after so long, he absolutely will not allow her to die like this!
He sped all the way to the nearby hospital, then he took out his cell phone and called Khalid, asking
him to contact hospitals from other countries as soon as possible, he wanted to arrange for her surgery
in the shortest possible time.
After hanging up, he put away the phone and entered the CT room, asking for the examination results
with an anxious face.
“There are bleeding spots, but it's not too serious.” The doctor raised his hand and pointed to the
computer screen and calmly said, “But if she were to be continuous stimulated, her situation may
become very bad, and we must operate as soon as possible.”
Julian majored in medical research and development in these past few years, so he could read some of
it, and after listening to his explanation, he subconsciously asked, “What kind of after-effects will there
be?”
“No specific cases have been encountered yet, but this surgery will cause her to suffer from short term
memory loss, or amnesia." The doctor finished his explanation, printed out the film, and handed it to
him. “Amnesia, is what we often call losing consciousness.”
Julian took the film and followed the nurse to send Sadie to the ward.
After a while, Doctor Rees rushed over and did not recommend immediate surgery after seeing the
film, but asked for a period of observation.
The bleeding point was very small, and it was not the best time to operate.
“How long will the observation period be?” Julian’s face was pale, and dark clouds were gathering
under his eyes.
“It's impossible to give an exact time period, she only has a bit of internal bleeding, compression of the
brain is still not obvious and no midline shift can be seen." Doctor Rees explained calmly.
Julian inclined his head to look at Sadie sleeping on the hospital bed and politely thanked the doctor.
Doctor Rees waved his hand and left with his assistant to say goodbye.
When Sadie woke up and found herself in the hospital again, her mind went blank for a moment, and it
took her a while to regain her senses by blinking hard.
There was no one in the ward, and her cell phone was also not around, her surroundings were so quiet
that it felt scary.
She raised her hand to press her eyebrow, then she slowly sat up on the mattress and blankly looked
out the window.
She was not sick, so how did she suddenly end up in the hospital.
The door of the ward was pushed open, and the man's slender and straight figure was clearly reflected
in her eyes.
Sadie blinked, and thought for a long while before remembering who he was, but then she deliberately
said, “Sir, may I ask who you are looking for.”
“Looking for you.” Julian pretended not to see the cunning light that flickered under her eyes, and bent
down to carry her up. “Go back and change your clothes, I'll take you to school.”
Khalid was standing right outside the door, and when he saw that Julian carried Sadie out, he hurriedly
turned his face away.
Sadie clung onto Julian’s neck, trying not to fall of balance, while her mind was a mess.
She remembered him, but there was something wrong with her memory.
She only remembered admitting to Daisy that she broke up with Otto at noon yesterday, but no matter
how hard she thought, she could not remember what happened after that incident.
When she returned to ZSB Garden, she went upstairs to change her clothes by herself and saw that
her phone had a call record with Libby, and she frowned.
Libby rarely called her.
