Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover

Chapter 633

Connor's words hit like a bolt of lightning, snapping everyone to attention. Chloe, noticing Winston's flushed ears, quickly put two and two together. But when she found out that Winston had no idea Cassie was actually a woman, it all seemed utterly ridiculous to her. And now, knowing Winston had developed feelings for Cassie, whom he believed to be a man, it was even more absurd. The entire situation was like a soap opera, filled with twists and turns. Yet, once the initial shock wore off, a sense of worry crept in.

"I never pegged Winston as someone who'd be into guys," Chloe mused.

Connor, savoring a bite of the delicious salmon, finally chimed in, "I doubt it's about liking men. He's just into Cassie, plain and simple. Whether Cassie's a guy or a gal, Winston's fallen for them."

Chloe nodded, seeing the logic in his words. She pulled out her phone. "I should call him and spill the beans. He must be in turmoil right now. Earlier, he seemed completely out of sorts."

The idea of being a straight guy and suddenly finding yourself attracted to another man? That's gotta mess with your head.

Connor, ever the voice of reason, advised, "Stay out of it. It's their business. And who's to say Cassie even likes him back? Love has its own path. Don't interfere, or you might mess things up instead."

Chloe considered his advice and, for a moment, agreed. But then a doubt crept in. "Connor, are you holding a grudge? Is that why you're keeping quiet?"

Remembering how Winston had given Connor a hard time earlier, it made sense. Yet Connor just chuckled, looking innocent. "Why would I? He's like family to you, which makes him family to me. I think they should navigate their feelings on their own. Telling him now would steal the thunder of that huge revelation he'll have later on."

Chloe mulled over his words. They made sense. It wasn't her place to meddle, especially since Cassie's feelings were still a mystery. Better to let things unfold naturally.

Years down the road, Chloe would share this little drama over a holiday dinner. Winston, upon hearing it, turned crimson with rage and gave Connor a good-natured punch,; calling him a petty brother-in-law. They had no idea how much

Winston had struggled, almost to a breaking point. But that's a tale for another day. NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

After they finished their meal, Chloe and Connor decided to take a spontaneous stroll around the Riverbrook College campus. It was one of those rare, carefree evenings. With no worries on their minds, they strotted hand in hand, taking their time on the soft track. The gentle evening breeze felt like a soft caress on their faces.

They walked for a while, then lay on the grass to gaze at the stars. Eventually, they found themselves at a basketball court nearby, sitting in the stands watching students play a night game. Chloe was particularly into it, clapping and cheering every now and then.

Connor glanced over, amused, "Do you even get what's going on, or are you just clapping for fun?"

Chloe shook her head, grinning. "I have no clue, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the view. Check out that guy in the number 8 jersey-his moves are smooth."

Connor frowned, "Alright, that's enough. Time to head home."

But Chloe was too engrossed, cheering for another basket, "Great shot!"

"Chloe, you're still watching!"

"Just a little longer. These young, energetic guys are quite the sight."

Connor, who had already stood up, bent down and scooped Chloe into his arms. "I can be youthful and energetic too, all the energy you need. Let's go home, and I'll prove it to you."
