Chapter 18 Caught
Chapter 18 Caught
Brandon was determined to dump Isla. That's right. How could a rich and powerful man like him accept
a woman who had cheated on him?
I can understand why he was so heartless to Isla. Just like me, I couldn't accept that Vaughn cheated
on me. Even I would end my relationship with him, let alone if it happened to someone like Brandon.
"Brandon, can't you really forgive me?"
The tears on Isla's face fell uncontrollably. Her pitiful appearance really made me feel sympathetic.
However, after listening to the conversation between the two, I knew that Isla had betrayed Brandon.
Now, I did not have any sympathy for her at all. On the contrary, I felt that she had brought this upon
herself.
"Get lost before I change my mind!"
Brandon was completely impatient and swore. His voice sounded intimidating. I could clearly see that
Isla's body was shaking violently.
She still wanted to explain, but she didn't dare to do so.
After a moment of silence, Isla turned to leave, crying.
After Isla left, the show was over. I turned around and continued to drink, pretending that I didn't see
what had happened just now.
I thought Brandon would leave soon, but I seemed to have overestimated my disguise ability.
"You've been watching for some time over there. Do you have anything to say now since the show's
over?"
Brandon's deep, sexy voice reached my ears, causing my heart to tremble violently. I quickly looked
around and saw that I was the only one around, so clearly, he was talking to me.
I thought I hid myself well, but apparently, he had already recognised me earlier whereas didn't say
anything. I had really underestimated him.
When I looked at him, his dark eyes were fixed on me, and there were complicated emotions in his
eyes that I couldn't see clearly.
"Are you talking to me?"
I smiled awkwardly and looked at Brandon with a guilty look. After all, eavesdropping was not
something to be proud of.
"If not you, then a ghost?"
Brandon frowned and strode towards me.
Every step he took, my heart was beating wildly. I didn't know why.
And why did he have to say ghost at night? I liked to read horror novels in my free time, so sometimes I
had an overactive imagination.
Thinking of this, I felt a little chill run down my back. If it weren't for Brandon, I would have gotten up
and run away.
"Why are you drinking alone here at night?"
Brandon was getting closer and closer to me. He glanced at the beer bottle beside me and frowned. I
guess he didn't like women who drank alcohol.
"Well, I... I just happened to be here. I really didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation with Isla."
I thought that Brandon was going to question me about the conversation between him and Isla. I was
the one who overheard it, so I felt guilty before he could speak.
"Since you've seen it, don't you have anything to say about it?"
Brandon had already come to my side. I was sitting on the ground, and he was standing. He was very Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
tall, at least 180 cm, so I could only look up at him.
