“Gisele! What are you doing making a scene here?”
Gordon bent down to pry Gisele’s hand away.
The stench of alcohol hit her, almost making her gag, but Gordon remained oblivious.” Apologize to Mr. Jefferson! Do you want to disgrace our family?”
Despite Gordon’s warning, she refused to let go. She clung tightly to Jon’s foot, knowing that releasing him would ruin Johnson’s future.
She hadn’t intended to be with him in the first place; she had been merely retaliating against Dorian.
“Dorian, I’m sorry!” Gisele finally bowed her head.
She should have realized sooner that she had no choice or means of resisting him. She knew the consequences would be unbearable.
Lying on the ground, Johnson felt a wave of sorrow for Gisele. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
His once cheerful voice cracked with emotion. “Gigi, don’t fret. Let him stomp on me if he wants! You don’t need to worry about me.”
He knew his rash confession had landed Gisele in this situation, so he had to accept the
consequences.
“You make quite the peculiar pair.” Dorian chuckled softly.
Gisele’s skin crawled at Dorian’s words.
She sl*pped her hand under Jon’s foot, lifted her head, and gazed at him with tear–streaked.
eyes.
“I’m sorry. This won’t happen again. Let’s go home.”
Coincidentally, she was due to be discharged tomorrow. So, leaving now wouldn’t make
much difference.
Jon knew Gisele’s hand was beneath his foot, yet he remained unmoved. He was cold and unfeeling like a robot, and he listened only to Dorian’s commands.
Dorian smirked coldly. “Release her.”
Jon quickly withdrew his foot and stood behind Dorian.
The usually bustling street, which was typically filled with people, was deserted except for a few of them.
Gisele struggled to get up and reluctantly trailed behind Dorlan with her swollen face.
Johnson’s voice trembled with sadness as he called out, “Gigi”
Gisele stopped and managed to give a strained smile as she turned around. “Get the surgery done soon and live a good life.”
This was probably the best she could do for him.
When Dorian’s cat sped past them, Bernard belatedly waved and called out, “Hey! Weren’t you supposed to be with Sierra? Why are you going back?”
Bernard’s expression betrayed his confusion. Dorian had been provoked by Gisele just now. For someone as outstanding and focused as him, besides Sierra, no one else could stir hist
calm heart.
Yet, only Gisele had managed to do it.
Gordon staggered and shouted to his friends from afar, “What are you standing around for? Aren’t we continuing the drinking elsewhere? Let’s go!”
Watching Gordon’s unsteady gait, Bernard furrowed his brow. For heirs like Gordon, even all the wealth in the world wouldn’t be enough for them to squander.
At that thought, Bernard felt deeply sorry for Gisele. Despite her hard work, she was burdened by such nuisances.
Gisele thought Dorian would leave her at Jefferson Manor’s gates.
She didn’t expect him to get out of the car, grab her, and drag her inside without waiting for her to steady herself.
As soon as they entered, Dorian forcefully threw her off like a dirty rag, causing her to fall onto the couch.
Gisele’s knees were rubbed raw from being dragged. A patch of her skin had been scraped off, and blood oozed from the wound.
Lying on the couch, her once bright eyes now appeared dull, as if coated with a layer of dust, devoid of their former shine.
“What’s wrong? Are you upset that I interrupted your date with that wild man? Are you pissed off now?” Dorian lunged forward, gripping her hands tightly.
Inches away from Dorian’s face, Gisele chuckled out of anger. “Does getting upset serve any
