Chapter 1211
Freya's eyes filled with tears, her emotions stuck in her throat, making it impossible to speak. All she could do was stand on her tiptoes and plant a kiss on Micah's cheek. Micah grinned and leaned closer. "Just a kiss on the cheek?"
Freya's face turned red. "There are people around."
His eyes twinkled with amusement as he whispered in her ear, "Alright, but remember, tonight I expect you to be just as bold."
"You're impossible," Freya said, her heart racing, unsure of how to respond.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Thankfully, they reached the exam room, and with no one waiting, the doctor asked Freya to go in first.
About ten minutes later, Freya emerged, her eyes red and watery.
Micah rushed over to her side, gently supporting her as he asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"
Without a word, she handed him a piece of paper.
Micah, assuming it was bad news about her health, began to comfort her, promising that he would always be there for her.
Freya's eyes welled up again. "Just read the results first."
As she spoke, tears began to stream down her face.
The paper she handed him was an ultrasound report, indicating a four-week pregnancy. Everything looked normal.
Micah's hands trembled with excitement as he held the report. He wanted to pull her into a tight hug but, remembering the baby, settled for wrapping her in his arms and kissing her passionately. "Micah," Freya whispered, embarrassed.
Micah beamed with joy, practically shouting, "I'm going to be a dad! I'm going to be a dad!"
Micah's happiness was palpable. Thank goodness she was pregnant. Freya didn't know how she would have faced him if there had been any issues affecting her ability to conceive. Freya felt incredibly grateful to be pregnant now.
"Come on, let's share the good news with Dad," Micah said, holding her close as he guided her to the elevator.
When they reached Nina's hospital room, Micah couldn't wait to hand the ultrasound report to Pharaoh. "Look at this!"
Everyone was curious. Nina, quick to catch on, urged Pharaoh to take a closer look.
Pharaoh examined the paper, his hands beginning to tremble. "She's pregnant? Really pregnant? I'm going to be a grandpa!" Pharaoh was even more ecstatic than Micah.
Micah nodded, "Yes, Freya is pregnant, a month along. We're going to have a new addition to the family."
Barely containing his excitement, he took Freya's hand and, with all the love in his heart, whispered sweet words to her.
Pharaoh made a decision on the
spot. "For the time being, you don't have to worry about anything at home. I'll handle it all. You just focus on taking care of Freya."
Freya was surprised and a little embarrassed. "Father, that's really not necessary. It's only been a month. I can still take care of myself."
Pharaoh waved her off. "It's decided. I'll let everyone know, and I'll make sure we have all the right supplements ready."
It was clear how much this baby meant to him.
Freya was deeply moved and wanted to express her gratitude, but she struggled to find the right words.
Micah, understanding her feelings, spoke on her behalf, "Thank you, Father. We'll follow your lead and let you handle things. I really appreciate it." Pharaoh, still beaming, went off to make arrangements.
One joyful event after another, and Freya quickly became another focus of attention. She didn't have to lift a finger and everything was done for her. At first, she felt a little out of place, but as she saw everyone's genuine care, she gradually embraced the attention.
Soon enough, it was time to celebrate Gemma's first month. Nash threw a grand party, inviting high society, business elites, and political figures from all over the city.
All the employees of York Corporation received double pay that day, along with gifts. This move made it abundantly clear how much Nash cherished his daughter. As night fell, the banquet began.
Guests arrived one after another,
and someone approached Orion pointing to the gathering and saying, "Orion, now that your parents have your sister, doesn't it feel like they're forgetting about you?"
