Caught Between The twin CEO

Chapter 85

As Paxton got home his Cousin Lydia came down and she was hell-bent on talking about Sydney the entire time.

“Hey brother, I see how you look at Sydney and she is Jaxton’s woman what do you want to do with her?” she asked

“Wait what do you mean what don’t want to do with her? Isn’t she Paxton’s woman and we are supposed to love her” Paxton said avoiding the question she was driving at.

“C’mon Paxton I know you love her more than you are showing!” she said taking him aback

” But how can I? She is Jaxton’s girlfriend” he said still dodging the matter she was pressing at.

“You look tired by the way,” she said.

“No, I don’t” look tired I’ve rested Lydia,” he said pushing her hand off his face.

“Just take a look at yourself in the mirror.. your eyes are puffed from lack of sleep for how long would you continue depriving yourself of sleep?”

“Aah, Lydia who called you in here, you’ve been bugging me since you came would you cut me some slack?” he said as he pushed his cousin out of the room.

“Hey I am your favourite cousin”

“And the most annoying too,” Paxton said.

“You know if is times like this that I wished I was talking to Jaxton and not you”

“Then go disturb Jaxton would you?” Paxton said tired of her already she wasn’t budging from the door.

He left her and walked back into his room as he wore comfy clothes to go into his study for work.

“But why can’t you tell her you love her, u watched you both at the shop you tried hard to start a conversation although she seemed mad at something or somebody if I might say,” she said.

“She says she would love for us to have an evening at her house to apologise to you for behaving rudely and not being polite when you asked her to use a certain brand”

“Wait you don’t mean it like she has invited me over to her place?” Lydia asked or more like squealed.

She was excited that she was finally going to be in the same room as Sydney and this time she was going to make sure she made him tell him what he was hiding.

After she stood for a moment she even thought for a moment she realised she had seen the jealous look in Sydney’s eyes.

Sydney was in love with her cousin too.

They both were living a lie and it was not a good lie, to begin with.

Lydia knew they both were her cousins and in as much as she lived Paxton with his calm and good nature she also loved Jaxton and also wanted his happiness no doubt.

Lydia didn’t want to see her cousins fighting it was going to be bad if she had to instigate such and make them both fight but seeing Paxton and Sydney she felt they were meant for each other.

They just were hiding behind the pretext of being work buddies.

Paxton cared for Sydney and Sydney did the same for Paxton.

“I bet she would have me analysed if I had spoken to her further” Lydia blurted out of nowhere after the room had been quiet.

“Why did you start talking young lady?”

“I didn’t know I had to be a dumb person when around you” she retorted.

“Fair enough,” he said rating his hands and looking at her.

“Don’t you have someplace to be? Or maybe some friends to hang out with?” Paxton asked as he knew she would start yet another conversation and he wanted to be done with the paper he had in hand.

“Yea I do” she responded.

“Then why haven’t you gone there yet, you just want to have my life in your hand young woman?”

“I am there already!”

“What do you mean you are there already?”

“Well I miss my cousins and here I am to keep you guys company till the weekend is done”

“Wait you mean you would be here till the weekend is over?” Paxton asked with a hand to his forehead as he faked a migraine because of her constant barbering and questions asked.

“Wait brother do you mean I give you that much headache that you don’t want to be with me?” She asked.

“Not, just that you talk sometimes nonstop even when you are asked to stop talking my love but no hard feelings I love you so much,” he said in his defence.

“We’ll then you shall take me out this evening to a restaurant and I want you to make it a romantic dinner,” she said folding her arms over her boobs.

“And why should I do that, I am not your boyfriend I am just your cousin Lydia for Christ’s sake and I wish to work now can I?” he asked but she wants to have it.

“Okay fine but I am not changing my clothes for that, I hope you know,” he said as he got up leaving the document he was holding in hand and pulled her playfully as they descended the staircase and she continued laughing.

“You are surely going to eat your heart’s content today I assure you and after that, I would want you to be calm and quiet while I work is that a deal?” he asked.

“Yea, that is a deal and I promise not to make noise” she promised like a little child.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

After thirty minutes of being at the restaurant, she stated she wanted a takeaway so they don’t stay there to eat.

“We should have just orxwr3d in you know,” Paxton remarked as they began walking to the car with her takeaway in hand.

“And where would the fun be if I did that?” Lydia asked with a smirk.

The drive to the house was quiet and turning to look at her he realised she was in deep thought.
