Chapter 82
Chapter 82
Luca’s POV
I have to get out of here immediately, before I end up doing something stupid to her, like pressing her
against the wall and kissing her senseless until she get completely breathless, while I swallow down
her moans and groans while also dragging my fingers through the curls on her hair and squeezing her
small waist in my hands.
I shook my head once, trying to will the nasty, dangerous thoughts that have been assaulting my head
after I laid my eyes on her, minutes ago, while I was still standing up there at the top of the stairs.
“You were going upstairs, right?” I couldn’t bring myself to not do this last thing, despite how I had tried
to convince my mind not to put this particular idea into my head.
I watched as she blinked a few times and stared up at me before nodding her head and glancing away
from me, ducking her head away from my gaze.
“Go on, then.” I said to her and took a step to the side, gesturing towards the top of the stairs. I
watched as her eyes widened a little and she parted her lips to puff out a breath before finally nodding
her head and glancing up at my face, only to drag her eyes away after a second.
She made her way past me, walking slowly and I watched as she grasped the banister of the stairs,
making her way up the stairs slowly and carefully. My eyes dropped on her butt and I watched as it
curved sexily in the dress and how so much of her thighs were revealed.
Was this how she had been walking around in the mall throughout this afternoon?
What if other men had been staring?
A huge sense of possession flooded my head and mind and I shook my head immediately, taking a
step backwards and shaking my head to get the whole possessive thought out of my head, not
understanding how and where that particular thought had come from all of a sudden.
I turned around immediately, even before Sofiw had made her way up the stairs, before she was
walking very slowly, and made my way through the hallway in tne house until I was pulling the door
leading outside open and letting myself out immediately, quietly pulling the close behind me.
I glanced around the compound and nodded my head at the guards who had immediately sighted me
and were bowing their heads in respect immediately. The door suddenly slide open and my driver
made his way into the compound in his own car. He packed his car immediately because he knew he
was already supposed to have been here. He got out and made his way to the car I usually carry
around, opening the car and starting it immediately. Once he was done, he got out of the car and left
the driver’s door open before making his way towards me, bowing his head down in respect and
apologizing for arriving late in the next second.
I was in tne car after a few minutes and tne car was pulling out of the compound, the gates sliding back
into places the moment we drove out. I dug out my handkerchief from my pocket and used it to mop at
the top of my forehead that was starting to sweat before leaning my head into the backrest of the car
seat, breathing out slowly and watching as my chest expanded slowly in the motion.
I dug my phone out of my pocket and tapped on the screen a little, watching as it lighted up
immediately. My fave got automatically scanned and the phone opened in the next second. I made my
way into the iMessages box and turned on my data, ignoring everyone else as I watched messages
slowly came into the phone, pushing the old ones further down.
I clicked on James’ text on seeing as he was the last person to send me the latest message. His
message was about if I was still going to be coming like we had planned, and if the plan was still on. He
also asked if I was still with the plan, and if we were going to be meeting at the office or at some place
else.
I started to type in a reply immediately, the sides of my lips pulled into a thin and small line.
Luca: Yo James, yes, we’re going to be meeting at the hospital, I have to check up on Aria first,
remember? I have to check in on her if she has gotten awake or not.
I sent in the typed reply immediately and watched as the message got read instantly and as James
started to type in the next second.
His text came in a second later and I dragged my eyes over it as fast as I could, absorbing the content
of the text slowly.
James: She isn’t awake yet, I have gone to check up on her this morning, and she was still in coma,
although tne doctors hasn’t allow me to take a look at her, even though it was through the glass thing
that is in hospitals.
Luca: Oh.
I typed the single word and sent it instantly, refusing to allow my mind to wander unless I see a more
serious sign that would indeed make me go with what my guts was saying or not.
James' reply came a few seconds later and I reached forward and clicked on the tiny button which
would drag up the tinted glass which would demarcate the parts in the car, giving me some privacy.
James: Yeah, I did. But alright, we’d meet there. You’re on your way already, right?
I started to type in a reply immediately.
Luca: Yes, I am. I am on my way, in the car at the moment.
I sent in the reply and decided to add the last part after a second.
Luca: We’d both go see her once I get there.
James: Alright man, thanks.
He replied almost immediately and I stared pointedly at his text, asking myself once again if this wasn’t
what I was thinking it was.
I relaxed into the seat of the car and placed my phone on the spot beside me on the seat, watching
absentmindedly aw car zoomed left and right in a really fast way since the road we were currently
taking was a three way road which allowed one car going south in the middle, while the rest drove
down the complete other way.
I started to slowly trace weird shaped on the material of my suit pants, watching the way my hands
moved on my pants as my mind started to slowly drift apart, heading towards Sofia and dragging her
with a firm grip until everything about her filled up my thoughts, starting from the beautiful smile of hers
which I haven’t ever seen properly until this very after when she had come into my office to ask for
permission if she could start painting.
The smile had been so huge, bright and almost blinding. It had lit up her whole face and her cheeks
had been spread out completely over her face, her eyes reducing to tiny slits due to how wide the smile
was.
That was like the first time I was ever getting to see her actual smile, and lord, it was the most beautiful
thing.
One of the most beautiful, pure things I have ever seen.
She had collected herself after some moments, her smile slowly draining off her face in the next
second, but those blessed seconds where she had completely forgotten where she was in and who she
was standing before – for those few seconds, as she smiled up at me and thanked me profusely, the
wide smile bleeding through her voice.
It had been the most beautiful things I had seen today, throughout the whole of tne week even – and
there was this part of my mind that wanted to be the reason she wore that kind of smile on her face
again. I wanted to be the one to place the smile on her face and I wanted to be the one she smiled at in
that kind of manner. Those thoughts had grabbed me out of nowhere, some moments after she had left
my office, and I had sunk deeper into my seat while pondering on those thoughts and wondering why ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
and where exactly those urges were coming out from.
There was this protective instinct that had started to bud in the deepest part of my heart ever since I got
married, and yesterday, when I had watched her slipped into unconsciousness, that tiny bud had grown
all of a sudden, thumping in the lowest parts of my heart as I scooped her up into my arms.
And ever since that very moment, that bud hadn’t gone back to sleep and had been thumping and
vibrating throughout, especially each time the thought of Sofia comes into my head and mind
