A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 907: Anger

“Ranita…”

Brendon held her hand, not wanting her to leave. He had a premonition that if he let Ranita go easily, things would never be the same between them.

“Ranita, I didn’t give your clothes to her…”

Ranita shook off his hand, covered Ayaan’s ears, and glared at Brendon with fury. “Then what is she wearing?”

Her throat felt like it was tearing apart. She was in too much pain.

“Ayaan, let’s go home.” Ranita didn’t want to say more. She just wanted to calm down and think about what to do with her relationship with Brendon.

“Ranita!”

“Let go!” Ranita’s head was spinning, and her angry shout got stuck in her throat, causing her to cough violently.

“Mummy!” Ayaan hugged her leg worriedly, his big eyes red. He ran to Brendon and pounded on him with his little fists. “Daddy, you’re bad! Daddy, you bullied Mummy. Ayaan doesn’t like you anymore!”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

“Ayaan…” Brendon held his head. He felt so misunderstood! The situation wasn’t that complicated. Shannon had suddenly shown up, and he couldn’t just turn her away. She spilled juice on her dress while drinking.

A bit of juice had also spilled on Ayaan. He took Ayaan to clean up, and when he came back, he found Shannon with Ranita’s dress in the bathroom. He couldn’t just barge in…

“Ranita, calm down and listen to me…” At that moment, Shannon ran out, looking pitiful as she acted. “Ranita, don’t be mad! It’s my fault… all my fault. Don’t argue with Brendon!”

“Ranita, I’ll buy you a new dress just like this one! You’re still sick; don’t get upset…”

Hearing this made Ranita even angrier.

She looked coldly at Shannon. “No need to return it. If Miss Murphy likes it so much, she can keep it!”

“Ranita, please don’t be mad!” Shannon cried pitifully and grabbed Ranita’s hand. “It’s my fault. Ranita, don’t forgive me…”

Ranita was furious and disgusted. She angrily pushed Shannon’s hand away. “Don’t touch me!”

“Ah!” Shannon fell to the ground with a pitiful cry. “Brendon, it hurts!”

Ranita coldly watched Shannon, her anger stuck in her throat, unable to speak.

“Shannon, stop disgusting me!” Ranita turned to Brendon. “I pushed her; I admit it.”

“Ranita…” Brendon was furious and was about to stop Ranita when Shannon grabbed his pants and looked up at him pitifully. “Brendon, help me up.”

Brendon was delayed by this, and Ranita had already taken Ayaan and run off.

Ranita walked quickly with Ayaan, but she felt dizzy and her legs grew weak after a few steps. She was about to collapse.

“Ranita?” Just as she was about to fall, someone caught her. Rodolfo’s surprised voice sounded in her ear. “Are you okay?”

“Mr. Hatfield?” Seeing that Ranita didn’t look well, Rodolfo supported her and said, “You don’t look good. Let me take you home!”

Ranita wanted to refuse but saw Brendon chasing after them out of the corner of her eye. She held back and gripped Rodolfo’s arm tightly.
