Chapter 112
Chapter 112
OldMate asked, “So, what’s up?”
“You need to hop onto DealDynamics, log in with my FireWing account, and hit up Brian like me, tell
him he can get his usual deal, but zip it on anything else he asks.”
“I’m not as slick as you. They’ll track my IP. You sure you want me in your shoes?”
The account of Natalle said, “Yep. Take the job, and even if they trace it back to you, they won’t hassle
you anymore.” Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
“It makes sense, But can you change that username? It screams midlife crisis.”
“None of your business? I’m handing you a deal worth millions and you’re still nagging?”
After shutting down the game with a smirk, Natalle logged Into “DealDynamics” with her secondary
account.
Two minutes later. FireWing was online, and she quickly sent a string of code to enable cheats, giving
her an omniscient view of the chat with Brian.
FireWing asked, [We still on for business?]
Half a minute later, Brian replied, (Yeah, send the bank detalls.]
[Same as always. What’s your request? I only take the job if I can do it.]
[You cracked the firewall for WL Group, so Bright Peak Energy should be a breeze. Name your price,
I’ll wire it now.]
[Sure, five million.]
Brian paused before replying. [Didn’t we agree on twenty times the standard rate?]
[There are rules to this game and if you break them, the rest of the players will turn against you. Five
million is okay.]
Natalie’s rates were sky–high compared to her peers whose rates were from tens to hundreds of
thousands dollars.
She watched the conversation wrap up, then shut down her computer.
Minutes later, her phone lit up beside her bed. It was a notification for a five–million–dollar deposit to
her offshore Visa account.
Then, from outside her door, she heard Reid’s low voice on the phone, “Yes, I’ve got the information on
the tenant on the sixth floor… tall, slim, looks kind of feminine… pretty sure that’s FireWing.”
Lying down, Natalie let out a sigh of relief. Thankfully, King had the foresight to have Gavin arrange for
her to live above the staff of Truth Group. Even if she inadvertently exposed herself, another hacker
could be the fall guy.
She always trusted King.
Natalie remembered the first time she met Benjamin when she was nine.
In her dream, she stood at the grand entrance of the Morales family’s estate with endless rows of
sycamore trees.
She was outside the imposing Morales family, listening to a fierce argument within, “…If I have no ties
to the Howard family anymore and I’m divorced from Kenneth, why should my son have to obey the
Howard family? Why should he go into business?”
“And what if Audrey gives Kenneth another son? Are you willing to hand over everything you and
Kenneth built together?”
“Brian said Kenneth would never marry Audrey!”
“It’s not up to you two whether he marries Audrey. Did you see that little girl outside? She’s a girl and
she might one day claim a share of the Howard family!”
Natalie listened, not fully grasping the adult quarrels. But she understood that Brian’s mother and
grandfather despised her.
Two girls, about her age, walked out of the yard, eyeing her with disdain before bumping her shoulder
as they ran past.
Natalie stumbled and fell to the ground. Her palms scraped against the sandy driveway. stinging with
the roughness of the fall.
