Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire

Chapter 225

The mention of those words seemed to trigger a flood of unpleasant memories for Everett. His expression turned icy, his gaze on her sharp and deliberately provoking.

"I want it now. Isn't that what you're here for, or are you being choosy all of a sudden?"

His words were harsh, leaving her feeling exposed and embarrassed.

Selena wasn't sure if his words were what stung or if she just felt unjustly treated, but tears welled up in her eyes. Yet, stubborn as ever, she was determined to stick to the path she had chosen.

She sniffed, fighting back the bitterness, quickly wiping her tears away and regaining her composure.

"Alright."

Her voice came out raspy as she said it. She shifted slightly, opened a drawer, and took out a condom.

She even managed a customer-service-like smile at him. "Mr. Bennett, let me assist you."

Her hands trembled, but her resolve was steady. She tore open the package, kneeling on the bed and leaning forward to put it on him.

Her body was hers, and since this was unavoidable, she chose to protect herself.

Everett watched her every move, his face cold. Although her obedience and gentleness were everything he had wanted, seeing her so subdued irritated him. There was a knot in his heart that he couldn't untangle.

He hadn't been home all week and had stayed in a hotel alone. He realized he missed the physical connection with Selena but couldn't stand her indifferent demeanor.

He let Nadia spread rumors, knowing Selena would see them. He secretly hoped she would call him out on it, but she remained silent, as if she had disappeared.

When Nadia approached her at the

mall, suggesting she step aside, Selena didn't lash out. Instead, she said she and Everett were no longer in love, that she was tired of being Mrs Bennett, and would even

reward Nadia if she took her place. NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.

Was Everett just a possession to be handed over as she pleased?

Everett drank too much at a party, and Selena's indifferent words haunted him. His pride was hurt, so he had someone bring him home.

He was seething, wanting to assert himself, to make her realize her mistake, to plead for forgiveness, and to retract her words.

Yet she remained "obedient," and her service was more attentive than any professional's.

All because she no longer saw

herself as Mrs. Bennett, his wife. Her compliance and attempts to please him were just to meet that quota of a hundred times.

Everett suddenly grabbed Selena's hand, his anger evident. "Selena, weren't you going to give me a bath?"

He moved off the bed, hoisted Selena onto his shoulder, and carried her to the bathroom.

The shower drenched them both. Selena was pressed against the cold wall as he looked down at her.

"So, you think I'm that filthy? Make sure you clean me well, since you're the one using it..."

His blunt and suggestive words

made Selena's cheeks flush. Sheet

hesitantly began to undo his shirt buttons, pull off his belt, and tower his trousers.

She caught a glimpse of his manhood, and her face grew even hotter. She quickly averted her gaze and wanted to pull her hands back. But Everett wouldn't allow it, firmly guiding her hand downward...
