Chapter 45 I want you here!
Jasper was on his way to the island.
When he saw it was Stella calling, he answered immediately.
“Jasper,” Stella shouted.
She seemed to see a glimmer of hope.
She could not help but begin to cry.
Jasper sensed that something was wrong. His eyebrows furrowed as he asked softly, “What’s wrong?”
“Can you come here now?” Stella pleaded.
She needed him here now.
Jasper frowned, his eyes deepened.
Today was the performance at Wolf Island. He had agreed to watch it.
Military orders must be followed, and he had always been so disciplined.
However, he cared more about Stella.
” Lieutenant Johnson, go to the hospital,” Jasper ordered.
“But, the Grey Wolves have been deployed.” Lieutenant Johnson was puzzled.
“Record the performance for me. I will come back to see it. Do not speak further. Go to the hospital now.” Jasper said firmly.
The car was on the way to the hospital.
Stella put down her mobile phone, she felt hopeful.
“Three!” Federick shouted out the last number.
He picked up the fire extinguisher next to him and smashed the glass on the door. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
The glass shattered, she felt that it closely resembled her life, which had also shattered into pieces.
He reached out for the doorknob.
Stella got off the bed and looked at Federick watchfully.
Federick kicked open the blocking cabinet, he seemed to radiate a certain deadliness.
Stella retreated to the wall. There was no way out.
“No.” Stella cried as if she was about to wither.
She did not feel any fear when faced with criminals.
But Federick was a hundred times stronger than those criminals.
Her tears softened his heart.
“You almost had to be incapacitated. How are you going to pay for that?” Federick asked coldly.
“Federick, there are many women who can offer you their bodies. Don’t force me.” Stella quietly clenched her fists.
“Come home with me. I’ll count to three. If you agree now, I won’t touch you. If I count past three, I’ll take you now.” Federick warned her.
Stella looked at the door.
She was still hoping that Jasper would come in time to save her.
“One. Stella, I won’t divorce you. You can only be my wife for the rest of your life. Don’t ever think about having a relationship with another man.”
“Two. Jasper already has someone else in his heart. This woman will come back to him soon. You are just a plaything.”
Stella was surprised to hear this, she turned her gaze from the door to Federick’s face.
It was only now that she realized that she did not seem to know Jasper at all.
“Almost three, Stella, do you want me to rape you?” Federick said cruelly, grabbing on to her face with his hand, making her unable to retreat.
Stella’s cell phone rang.
There was still hope in her eyes.
When Federick saw Eli Wayne’s name on the caller ID, a coy smile appeared on his face. “Pick it up.”
Stella answered the phone.
“Stella, I’m sorry! That recording was locked in my drawer, but when I returned the drawer was opened and there was nothing left!” Eli Wayne exclaimed with guilt.
Stella was stunned, her shoulders fell.
She knew that this must be Federick’s doing.
She couldn’t get a divorce now.
Jasper had saved her once, had saved her twice. But a third and fourth time?
“I’ll go home with you,” Stella said in desperation.
Federick smiled with satisfaction.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned over to her face. “Don’t worry, I will make you willingly lie on my bed. I also believe that you will fall in love with making love with me.”
Stella did not move, she felt empty and desperate.
She sent a text message to Jasper. “I’m fine now. I can be discharged from the hospital. Don’t worry. You don’t have to come over. Thank you. Sorry to disturb you.”
She really wanted to cry.
But she could not even bring tears to her eyes. She only felt bitterness.
She did not do anything wrong. But why did she have to provoke a devil such as Federick?
She did not understand why God treated her like this.
She then sent a text message to Eli Wayne. “I’m going home with Federick. I’ll contact you later.”
Eli Wayne called immediately.
Federick grabbed the phone and saw it was from Eli Wayne, so he gave it back to Stella.
Stella answered.
“Stella, have you lost your mind? Why are you still going back with Federick? Don’t be afraid, I’ll find evidence for you.” Eli Wayne roared.
Federick grabbed the phone again. “Your 200, 000 dollars have been deposited in your account. You’d had better stop meddling in our affairs, or you’ll be in big trouble.”
“Come on, who’s afraid? You’d better not cheat on her again. Otherwise, it’s very easy to get evidence.” Eli Wayne shouted.
She had never lost a fight.
Federick smiled sinisterly and hung up the phone.
Jasper called.
Federick picked up the call, with hatred in his eyes.
“Are you okay?” Jasper asked with great concern.
Federick put it on speaker mode and handed the phone to Stella.
Stella did not dare to answer Jasper’s call because she was afraid that Federick would play tricks on her.
Federick’s eyes became fierce, indicating for her to answer it.
Stella clenched her phone and placed it beside her ear.
“What happened? Why are you not talking? I’ll be there in an hour.” Jasper’s voice became softer.
One hour is way too late.
“It’s okay. I saw a mouse just now. I’m afraid of creatures like these. The doctor said that I’ve recovered very well. I am discharged from the hospital.” She gave a reasonable explanation for what happened just now.
But when she heard his voice, she felt like crying again.
“That’s good then. I’ve already applied for the good citizen award you’d told me about. Don’t worry about your mother. I’ll make the arrangements, you will go to Provence, you can enjoy yourself there,” Jasper said softly.
There were ripples in Stella’s heart.
She had just told him her, and he has already made it come true.
She was not worthy of such a man.
Federick hung up the phone. “He is thoughtful. Are you touched?”
“What do you think?” Stella asked. She did not hide any sadness.
Federick’s eyes shrank. “No. My wife doesn’t need a gift from other men. Didn’t your mother want to see me? I have time to arrange for that.”
“Let’s go. I’m a little tired,” Stella said wearily.
The more Jasper thought about it, the stranger he felt.
He knew Stella, she may be afraid of rats, but she would never cry. Something must have happened to her.
Lieutenant Johnson’s phone rang.
He answered the phone and said urgently, “Chief, something bad has happened. There was a big accident on the island. As soon as the planes went up, there was an explosion. There were a total of 13 members, five of them were safely evacuated. Eight of them were injured in various degrees. The leader, No. 108 was injured severely, his legs were blown off.”
“Send them to the military hospital immediately. I’ll go there now.” Jasper ordered urgently.
Lieutenant Johnson was glad that the chief had not been there. Otherwise, it would have been his legs that were blown off!
